TCP Tuesday & Some Awards

Hi All! Hope you had a great weekend. Today I have a fun TCP Tuesday sketch challenge brought to you by Leigh the Hipster Hostess for this week. I love this sketch. I decided to use my new TCP stamps from the Elegant Christmas set. I embossed the dove with gold powder onto some vellum. Then I turned it around and using a stylus I went over the dove's body. This made the body white and popped up. Then I ran it through the cuttlebug with my circle nesties and did some paper piercing. A SU brad was added then a red satin bow. Since I was going with the vellum theme I run another piece through my cuttlebug with the swiss embossing folder. I really like how it turned out. The ornate border was created with a Fiskers border punch and the sentiment was embossed with black powder. So if you want to play along here are all the details.
1. Each a week one of the The Cat’s Pajamas DT members will host a challenge.
2. The challenges will vary {stamp, color, theme, sketch, etc.}
3. You will have until {this} Saturday night to complete the challenge.
4. Link your project on this week’s hostess’ challenge announcement. This week you will link your project on this post.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #43

Happy Friday everyone! I am so ready for the weekend. I need to go shopping for birthday goodie bags for Josh's 4th birthday party. We are having it at the Houston Fire Museum next Saturday and I have nothing ready. Eeekkk!! Oh well, it's going to be low key so I'm going to try and not stress. Anywho, back to stamping. Today Taylor has come up with another fun sketch for us. I decided to pull out my My Favorite Things Cupcake set that was released earlier this month. I love these yummy little guys. I watercolored everything and added some TE glitter. The brad is from Doodlebug designs. The dotted background stamp is also from MFT and it comes in the "Setting the Stage" set. The patterned paper is from SEI and the card stock is from Papertrey Ink and SU. I really love the retro feel of this card. It reminds me of an old fashion soda shoppe. Yumm! So if you want to play along here are all the details.

1.You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? :)

Anya Madness!

So, are you in love with all the Pink Poison Anyas like me?! I adore these little cuties. I especially love the size which makes them super fun to color. I decided on watercoloring these Anyas. I used my SU ink pads and a paint brush on high quality watercolor paper. The first card features the princess Anya. She would be amazing for birthday girl invitations. I added some stickles and Shimmerz paint to her crown, wand, and dress. She is framed with my new nesties. The patterned paper used is from DCWV "Nana's Nursery". Accessories are PTI ribbon, card stock, dew drops, and SU felt flowers. The sentiment is from "Sentiments" set. The second Anya is a darling little nurse. I watercolored her too and matted her with my other set of new nesties. The patterned paper on this card is from SEI's "Poppy" collection. Accessories are PTI ribbon, MM brads, and rhinestones.

See you tomorrow with a new Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge.

Hugs,

Pink Poison Wednesday

Hi All! Whew...its been a while. The family has come down with the cold so blogging and stamping have been minimal. Boo! I did however feel good enough last night to attend the Madonna concert!! Whoot Whoot!! It was amazing!! Her physique is also STUNNING! I can't believe she can move and dance for hours without looking a bit tired. It was exhausting watching her...LOL I had such a great time with my little sister. We called it sister-sister day. The hubby took a cute picture of us before we left so I thought I would share :) Anywho, back to stamping. I am feeling better today so I did manage to finish these two Pink Poison cards featuring the "Best Mates" set. Aren't these little pirates the cutest? I had so much fun creating these two cards. I colored everything in with my Copics and used my Basic Grey "Boxer" patterned paper. The sentiments were also punched out with my new tag nesties. I love them!! The sketches are from SCS Sketch challenges. Other accessories used on both cards are Papertrey Ink card stock and ribbon. Brads, eyelets, and twill is from Stampin Up. Well, that's all for today but make sure to check back tomorrow for more stamping.

Until then,

P.S. MFT is releasing a new BCDzyns set!! Whoot Make sure to check out the blog hop for some yummy eye candy.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #42

Happy Friday everyone! Sorry I'm so late in posting my Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. My computer froze this morning and the hubby was just able to fix it. Uggghh...I hate when that happens. Anywho, today Taylor has another fun sketch for us. I decided I wanted to use my new SASI Christmas images again. I seriously can't get enough of them! I also wanted to highlight the versatility of this set. I took the tree and tangled light cupcake image and only inked up the tree. To do that I covered the cupcake with paper and then inked the tree. After I watercolored the tree and added the rhinestones I stamped the holly cupcake on another piece of paper. I watercolored it and then cut it out. Finally, I placed her by the tree with 3D glue dots. To add a little extra I used my Shimmerz Blingz in Spiced Cider on the cupcake and Ultra Marine on the tree base. The cherry on top of the cupcake was adhored with Taylored Expression Fire Engine Red glitter which is also available as part of the Christmas Key Ingredients. So, if you want to play along here are all the details.
1.You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? :)
2.You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the prize drawing!
3.If you're uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC42 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 42 or link your creation on this post.

Mousey Thursday

Hi All! Today I have some more Pink Poison cards to share. I used the super adorable set called "Cup of Stuff". I think this is one of my favorite PP sets. These little mice are so cute. I watercolored everything again using my SU ink pads. The mice on the first card are actually cut out and placed on 3d glue dots. They really pop off the card. Patterned paper is from Basic Grey "Urban Prairie" and the card stock/ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. The floral brads are from Around the Block. I think they really complete the card. The second features a cute little mouse in a cup. I used my oval nesties to frame the image. The patterned paper on this card is from DCWV "Nanna's Nursery". (I love that stuff!!) Card stock is from Papertrey Ink and the ribbon is from Taylored Expressions. The layout is an older SCS Sketch challenge. To complete the card I added some SU felt flowers with a Doodlebug glitter brad. Anywho, that's all for today but tomorrow brings another Taylored Expression cupcake challenge.

Until then,

I know it's not Christmas paper but the colors fit the challenge perfectly. Accessories used are oval nesties, PTI ribbon, Bazzil jumbo brad, and rhinestones. Pink Poison Monday

Happy Monday everyone! Hope your weekend was nice and relaxing. Today I have some Pink Poison cards to share. I worked on these over the weekend and had a blast watercoloring the flowers. To watercolor I used my SU ink pads. I also added some Shimmerz Blingz in Spiced Cider to the flower centers. They sparkle so beautifully! The name of this set is "Fancy Fleurs". The patterned paper on the first card is from SEI "Poppy" collection. The card stock and ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. To frame the roses I pullout out my new nesties. The second card's patterned paper is from Basic Grey. Card stock and ribbon are also from Papertrey Ink. The layout for this card comes from one of Jen's older Sketch For You To Try. I LOVE her sketches!! The marigold card stock is cuttlebugged with the Swiss Dots folder. To complete the card I added some buttons with twill string. Well, that's all for today but tomorrow brings another TCP Tuesday challenge. You won't want to miss it!!

Christmas Fun!!

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope your having a wonderful weekend. Today I have two little projects to share with you. They were made with the newly released The Cat's Pajamas Christmas sets. If you haven't had a chance you need to check out all the new images Alma has released. They seriously are ADORABLE!! The first project is a tree ornament. The star is from Clear Scraps. I embossed the beautiful reindeer with gold powder onto some vellum. Then I cut it out and adhered it to the star with glue dots. The patterned paper used is from Cosmo Cricket's "Wonderland". The second project is a Christmas gift tag. The tag is from Petaloo. I covered the tag with some Imaginisce patterned paper. The poinsettia flowers were stamped with gold ink and then cut out. I stacked the smaller and larger bloom together with 3d glue dots. All stamps are from the set "Elegant Christmas". Well, that's all for today but make sure to check out The Cat's Pajamas for all the new stamps. You're going to LOVE them!

Have a great day,

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #41

Happy Friday everyone! So, are you ready for another fun Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge? I thought so :) Taylor has an awesome sketch for us today. I decided I wanted to use my new SASI "Season's Sweetings" set. I did some more watercoloring on the image. I think watercoloring might be my new favorite thing. I wasn't to fond of it but after buying some high quality paper from Micheal's I am loving every second. I still have tons to learn but at least I don't hate it anymore. The patterned paper, card stock, and ribbon are from the new Christmas Key Ingredients. I ADORE this patterned paper!! To create the scalloped edge I used my SU punch. To complete the card I added some new Shimmerz paints in the color "Wintergreen". So, if you want to play along here are all the details.

1.You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? :)
2.You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the prize drawing!

TCP Sneak Peeks!!

We are only a day away from the release of an array of new ADORABLE TCP stamps!! Whoot Whoot!! I'm so excited to finally be able to show you some of my samples made for the release tomorrow. The project I am most proud of is this Christmas tree. It took me forever to finish but I really love the end result. I got the wooden tree from Micheal's and painted it with acrylic paint. I then add glitter and beads to the edges with adhesive. After it was all assembled I started to hang the stamped tags with ribbon. I used a variety of new images and sentiments to decorate the tree. For the tree skirt I cut a large scalloped circle with my nesties. Then I stamped the hanging ornament image and colored it in. I cut a small slit on the side which allows the tree skirt to slide into the base. The next set of cards were also made with the new sets. I colored everything in with my Copics and add the new Shimmerz paints "Wintergreen" on the Christmas and palm tree. It sparkles so much in real life. Well, that's all for today but I have some more peeks for you tomorrow.

Until then,

MFTeaser Day 1

Hi All! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Today I will begin with the MFTeasers. I love all the new stamps that are going to be released on Wednesday. I know you're going to love them too! I only have one sample for you today but tomorrow will bring lots more. The stamp used in this card is a new Annie LaPoint image called "Scented Geraniums". I love all her images!
I decided I wanted to pull out my new watercolor paper for this release. Almost all the cards I did have been colored in with my SU ink pads, paint brush, and watercolor paper. I had so much fun! I also pulled out my new Shimmerz paints that were released on November 1st . For this card I used my favorite color called '"Spiced Cider". I added it to the flower centers and the butterflies. I took a close-up picture so you can see how shimmery it is. If you are considering buying some Shimmerz paints I would strongly recommend the Spiced Cider! Patterned paper is from Basic Grey "Urban Prairie" collection. Card stock and ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. Well, that's all for today but don't forget to stop by tomorrow for more MFTeasers.

Until tomorrow,
