"Fresh & Fun" Friday

While reading my blogs on Google reader I noticed that Beate has sketch challenges. I love blogs that offer sketches because sometimes you just need that extra help to make a card. These last couple of days I have lost my mojo and have found it hard to make anything cute. With Beate's guidance and John Mayer's tunes I think I might be coming out of it. I like how this card turned out. I have had this SU By Sea set and have used it only once before. I will have to use it more often. I decided that it would make a cute baby boy card. The paper is SU Celery, Bashful Blue, WW, and DP. The ribbon is May Arts again..I can't seem to make any card without it. The sentiment is from Green Grass which is another addition to all my cards lately. I did faux stitching which I might have gone a wee bit overboard..LOL Other accessories are SU Oval punch, crystal effects, decorative scissors and markers. Techniques used are faux eyelets and sponging. Enjoy and have a great weekend!!

Okay, this is getting a little freaky. I was SO listening to John Mayer when I was making that card yesterday that I posted about getting my mojo back. Strange, very strange.

Oh my gosh, I so needed a set like this today! I just got back from Hobby Lobby scouring the entire store for sail boat stuff. My cousin is having a baby shower Sunday and the baby's room is nautical. I found some things but absolutely nothing that would work. Oh well, I'll make it work!

Anyway, this card is super cute! I love how you did the ribbon instead of something 'round' from the sketch!

Very cute! Your faux eyelets around the circle make it look like you're looking through a port hole at another boat. Great idea!

this is so awsome. I have this set, and as soon as I got it I got a block and had no clue what to do with it. I think I'll try this card out and use it as my starting stone to new ideas.
