Blog Candy Time!!!

Its about that time again for some much needed blog candy. All you have to do is leave a comment telling me what your favorite holiday is. I am a huge lover of ALL holidays but I would have to say Christmas comes in at the first spot. I will draw a random winner on Sunday July 8th at 9:00p.m. Good luck!! Hugs Ana

Oh and I've also been tagged so here goes seven random things about me...

1. I am terrified of airplanes and when I do get on them I don't like to talk, eat, or get up the whole flight. I am too focused on every detail and sound the airplane is making.
2. I have a huge weak spot for sweets. I think I could give up salty foods and just live of sweets. *yummy*
3. I love ice in my milk.
4. I hate celery...except Certain Celery card stock. *giggle*
5. I have three dogs.. 2 are bulldogs named Chloe and Stormy and the other is a Bichon named Ginger

6. I love to salsa dance.
7. Other than stamping, flower arranging is also my passion of which peonies are my favorite flower.

Now I am going to tag Kirsten, Kim, Tiff, and Stephanie.

Hi Ana! While I love Christmas, my family is all in another state so it just reminds me of what I'm missing out on. So, my favorite holiday is really Memorial Day as it truly marks the start of summer for me! TFS.

Hi! My favorite holiday is Halloween. It has always been a time for silliness for my DH and I. Now that we have a daughter, we include her in dressing up for the holiday, going on hay rides and when she's older some haunted houses.

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. It is the one big holiday when I get to cook! Plus, when we're done eating, we put up the Christmas tree and pull out all those Christmas CDs!!!

My favourite holiday has to be my birthday! I know it's not really a holiday but it combines two of my favourite things... summer and presents!

I know, I'm terrible!

Cindy @ Creating at Home said...

Christmas is right up there... but I also like to celebrate the little things... like report card day and spelling tests & stuff. Any little accomplishment gets celebrated at our house.

My favorite holiday is a Dutch one: Queensday on the 30th of April. In the whole country people celebrate the birthday of our queen, they are all dressed in orange, going out on the streets, eating, doing games and having fun. It is so my favorite day of the year :-)

It's a toss up between 4th of July ~~ because I *LOVE* summer ~~ & Halloween. Love both. And how funny, I am terrified of flying also!! I flew just once, on my honeymoon (well, okay, twice since we had to come back, lol) & I literally cried most of the 4 hour flight!! I'd love to take my kids to Disney some day.....but it would be a loooooong drive from Wisconsin!

My favorit holiday is christmas. I just love the decorations everywhere and the ligths on the houses around. It just put me in a happy mood.

Anonymous said...

It's definitely Thanksgiving. Although I was born on Thanksgiving Day (and every so often it falls on my birthday), it's the one day that filled with my two favorite things: food and family. No stress just a great time to get together and enjoy everyone's company.

Anonymous said...

My fav holiday is Easter! There is something about springtime and new life that is truly exciting. We also have a family tradition of going kite-flying

Anonymous said...

Christmas is my favorite ever since
I was a child. I loved the decorations, anticipation of Santa and what gifts he would bring. And now with my own Children and their children they love the traditions we have created and continue to share as a family.

I love Thanksgiving and Christmas, but for me, on a totally selfish note-- I'm picking July 4th. It truly is the only major holiday where I don't cook, we don't have to travel, and we just relax with our kids.
Thanks!

I love Christmas, too! I have really enjoyed watching my boys the last couple of years--they are 4 and 2, and seeing them light up is just the best! :)

I definitely have to agree that Christmas is my all time favorite. Who doesn't like to give and receive gifts?! LOL But the best part is seeing my kids faces when they see the tree christmas morning with all the gifts under it....priceless!

Halloween. I love to get scared, love horror movies, love the decorations, love the smell of fall, the leaves in the damp grass. Kids at my preschool will talk about what they are going to be for Halloween for about a year, as if it were the next day.
I love black cats, ghosts, pumpkins, gourds, bats. I used to have two rubber skeletons that were about 12" long that I would play with. They were married and had a rubber bat pet. Yes, I am sick.
