Little Squishy Friend Friday

We made it to another weekend..*Yippee*!! So last night I got to stamp without interruptions. The DH was in a great mood and even put DS to sleep. It was so nice. For this card I decide to combine two challenges from SCS. One was to use a neglected set and the other was to use scallops in your design. The stamp set is SU Fishy Friends. Can you believe I have never inked this puppy...well fishy up. It is such a cute set that I must use it more often. I colored the little squishy jellyfish with my prisma colors. I mounted her on SU Green Galore card stock which I cut the edges with decorative scallop scissors. Other card stock used is SU Cool Caribbean, which was embellished by the cuttlebug embossing folder, and Apricot Appeal. The DP is Basic Grey. The brads are Paper Studio and the sentiment is from Micheal's dollar bin. The ribbon is SU Real Red and the rhinestone is K&Co.

Have a Great Weekend..Hugs Ana

Willy Wonka Card

Doesn't this card remind you of the scene in Willy Wonka movie where the kids licked the fruity wallpaper. (that was my favorite part) I guess SEI was thinking the same thing when they named this Designer Paper Lollipop Shoppe. Other card stock used is SU Celery, Chocolate, Eggplant, and Whisper White. I decided to combine this paper with an equally playful set. This is the SU Doodle This. SU Canvas background was also used. I colored the flowers and swirls with my prisma colors and popped some out for added dimension. The sentiment is from my *favorite* Green Grass stamps. I just can't seem to make a card with one of their sentiments. The ribbon is My Arts in periwinkle dots. The rhinestone is K&Company and the brads are Paper Studio. The card sketch is another one from CPS. They rock!!

Enabler Alert!!! This is not stamping related but I thought I would spread the word on this awesome baby/toddler boutique named Trendy Tadpole. They have the cutest baby clothes with adorable logos. They describe their clothes as Hip. Witty. and Trendy. And that they certainly are!! I am buying Josh the little Buddha Belly and Drool Monster. Spread the word on your blog and you get a free t-shirt. How cool is that!! Hugs Ana

Wallet Card Tutorial

Hi All. I am so glad that you guys enjoyed the wallet birth announcement. I also noticed that some of you wanted a tutorial on how to make these cute little cards. So here goes.

Step 1: You will need one piece of 12 x 12 card stock of designer paper and score using the Scor-Pal at 1/2", 3", 6", 9", and 11 1/2inches.
Step 2: Fold in the two outer score lines.

Step 3: Fold all the edges of the card stock to the nearest score line forming 4 small triangles.
Step 4: Fold in the two outer panels.
Step 5:Turn the paper around so that the folded flap side is facing downward. Then bring the two shorter edges together and tuck them into each other.

Step 6: When tucked in as far as you can go (about an inch) fold the whole thing together. (Picture shown is the side view of the project.)

Step 7: Viola!! Fold down on the crease and you have your criss cross wallet card. Embellish with, stamps, chipboard, file folders, pictures, gift cards, and any other memento.BTW I am not great at tutorials so if you have any questions just leave a comment and I will try to answer the best I can.

Scor-Pal Rocks!!

So I finally finished the wallet pocket card and tutorial for Diana. She is the proud designer and creator of the amazing Scor-Pal. If you guys have not heard of it you must head over to her site. Its such a time saver and incredible invention. It makes projects that require a lot of scoring a piece of cake. I learned this project from SU regionals. Its a wallet criss cross card that has lots of pockets to added embellishments and pictures. For this one I decide to make it a birth announcement. I used my DS's hospital picture. It seems like just yesterday I was coming home with my little monkey. The stamps used are SU Bundle of Joy and Green Grass for the sentiment. The paper is SEI Grannies Kitchen and SU Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and So Saffron. Accessories are May Arts ribbon and circle scalloped punch. The teddy bear and giraffe are colored in with prisma colors. When you head over to Scor-Pal don't forget to check out other awesome projects made by amazing fellow stampers. Happy Stamping

Too Cute Tuesday

Hi all!! So I finally got a chance to stamp last night and I decided to continue the neglected stamps challenge. For this card I used the SU Simply Said set. I have stamped with this set before but I sorta forgot about it *frown* I got the inspiration for the layout from CPS. They really have the most amazing sketches. The card stock used is SU Cocoa, Apricot, Chocolate, Amethyst, and Basic Grey DP. The oval chipboard frame is from Lil' Davis. I am really having a lot of fun using my new chipboard!! I also used my cuttlebug embossing folder and decorative scissors. The ribbon is May Arts and the rhinestones are K&Company. Techniques used are sponging and faux eyelets. Stay tuned for more SU cards. Hugs Ana

He Loves Me...

If you head on over to SCS and click on today's Limited Supplies challenge you will read that Jen has challenged us to dust of those stamp sets you have been neglecting. I had a tough time choosing just one since I feel I have neglected so many of my SU stamps. *frown* Flower Filled is one that I was SO EXCITED about getting and when I did I sort of forgot about it. I decided it was time for it to see the light of ink. For this card I inked up the retro vase in SU Pale Plum and placed a Lil' Davis chipboard flower that I covered with LilyKate DP. I placed a small flower on top of the larger to create a 3D effect. I did some doodling around the border and added some brads. Other stamps used are Green Grass for the sentiment. Accessories are May Arts ribbon, prima flowers, rhinestones, and Oval punch. Card stock used is SU Chocolate Chip, WW, and Saffron. I am so loving this challenge that I might do one more card with another neglected set. Stay tuned and Have A Great Weekend!! Hugs, Ana

Asian Inspired

Lately I feel I have been neglecting my Stampin' Up stamps so I thought I would make a card with one today. The set "Artfully Asian" is one of my favorites. The cherry blossom branch is so beautiful. For this card I stamped the branches on some LilyKate DP and colored it in with my Prisma colors. I then pulled out my new tiny prima flowers and embellished them with rhinestones. I then stamped the leave images on VV card stock and cut them out. I placed them behind the sentiment and through the May Arts ribbon. The card stock is SU Olive, Regal Rose, and Chocolate Chip. I also used my cuttlebug embossing folder on the Olive paper. The card sketch is from the awesome CPS site. If you have not checked them out you should because they have the most amazing layouts. Techniques used are sponging and faux eyelets. Stay tuned for some more Stampin' Up cards..Hugs Ana

Summer Dreams

If you guys have not headed over to SCS you should because its Wednesday and that means Rox has come up with a great new sketch challenge. I decided I wanted to play and this is what I came up with. I really love Papertrey Ink's Butterfly Kisses. Its so sweet and versatile. I stamped the butterflies on both SU VV card stock and vellum. I created a 3D effect by cutting out them out and adding May Arts ribbon to the bodies. I used my coluzzle to create the circle mats. Other card stock used is SU Olive, Saffron, Pink, Chocolate Chip, and LilyKate DP. I also used SU Canvas background on the Pink card stock. I did some faux eyelets and doodling around the olive circle. I used my corner rounder for the bottom edge of the card. This was such a fun card to make.

So I must also share with you my silly day yesterday. If you read yesterday's post I told you guys that I was going to the circus. Well at 7:00pm we all packed up and headed to the stadium. We were so excited and ready to see some elephants and clowns. When we arrived we noticed that the parking lot was empty. We thought this is strange. I looked at my tickets to see if we were in the right stadium. Yes, we where right but them I read a little further and noticed the date...IT WAS FOR JULY!! *hehehe* When I told DH we started to laugh so hard. So then we grabbed a bite to eat and went back home. *frown* Next time I will read all the details!!

Too Cute Tuesday

So I am not totally sure if I like the way this card turn out. It took me forever to finish it since I always felt something was missing. I used my new Stampendous Clear stamp "Feather Flourish" that I bought in Eclectic Paperie. I was searching for these birds everywhere since I kept seeing them pop up all around other blogs and SCS. I feel in love with the whimsical look but when I got mine I was at a stump:( For the bird I combined stamping on SU VV and Basic Grey DP. I put some rhinestones also to add bling to the tail feathers. Other paper used is SU Pale Plum, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, and Close to Cocoa. The ribbon is SU and May Arts. The hardware is SU and the flowers are Primas. Other accessories are decorative scissors and SU Oval punch. Techniques are faux eyelets, sponging, and paper distressing. Well off I go to get ready to go to the circus with DH and DS. I can't wait to see how DS reacts to the animals and clowns. Hopefully good. I will let you guys know how it went tomorrow!! Hugs Ana

Happy Father's Day

As I was looking for a stamp to use for a Father's Day card I came across one of the images sent to me by my good stamping friend Kirsten. Its a House Mouse stamp and when I saw it I knew it was perfect. I love the way the mouse is showing off how strong he is. It reminded me of DS and how he always thinks he can do anything. Like when we watch the show Fear Factor or Survivor and he swears he can do all the challenges better and faster. *hehehe* I just play along and a sure him that he most certainly could beat all of those strong MUCH younger guys. *wink* I colored in the image with my Prisma colors and some SU markers. I used my new cuttlebug embossing folder on SU Marigold card stock. Other paper used is SU Celery, Chocolate,WW, and DP. I added some liquid applique to the ends of the Q-Tip. The sentiment is from Green Grass stamps the ribbon is May Arts and SU. The tab is also SU and the rhinestone inside is K & Company. Other techniques used are faux eyelets and sponging.

BTW I want to say that I have the best online friends EVA!! Thank you so much for all the awesome advice on how to give DS his medicine. I am going to have to go buy more medicine since I had given up hope. I will let you guys know what method worked. Love ya guys Ana

If you have any other suggestions on how to better improve my blog please email me. I love to hear all your thoughts and comments. Just make sure to label the subject with the word STAMPING so I won't delete it. Tons of hugs Ana

"Fresh & Fun" Friday

While reading my blogs on Google reader I noticed that Beate has sketch challenges. I love blogs that offer sketches because sometimes you just need that extra help to make a card. These last couple of days I have lost my mojo and have found it hard to make anything cute. With Beate's guidance and John Mayer's tunes I think I might be coming out of it. I like how this card turned out. I have had this SU By Sea set and have used it only once before. I will have to use it more often. I decided that it would make a cute baby boy card. The paper is SU Celery, Bashful Blue, WW, and DP. The ribbon is May Arts again..I can't seem to make any card without it. The sentiment is from Green Grass which is another addition to all my cards lately. I did faux stitching which I might have gone a wee bit overboard..LOL Other accessories are SU Oval punch, crystal effects, decorative scissors and markers. Techniques used are faux eyelets and sponging. Enjoy and have a great weekend!!

Fun Friday

I have some exciting news!! I have been picked by the SUPER talented Jen del Muro to be her guest designer. I have had to keep it a secret from you guys and let me tell you its been HARD!!
