Wow I can't believe its already Thursday. This week has flown by for me. I have been busy trying to completely potty train my son. He already goes pee but we are working on the "other one". Its definitely a lot harder than I ever imagined. (any tips would be appreciated) He just doesn't want to do it. Any who enough about poo (LOL) and let's get to some stamping. Today I have a My Favorite Things card to share with you. It features the "Let's Go For A Walk" set. I colored in the images with my Copics and added some sparkle with my spica pens. The patterned paper is from Memory Box "Sugar" collection. I got the prima flower from Mike's which was on sale. I got them for a great deal but threw away the wrapper so I don't remember who makes them. The brad is a glittery brad from Making Memories and the ribbon is from May Arts. I used some scalloped scissors on the edge of the green border. I added some dots with my pink spica pen. Well that is all for today but tomorrow brings another card and some Q& A with some frequently asked questions.

My goodness you can color! This is beautiful!
Many Blessings,
M.
This is gorgeous, Ana! Hmm...it has been a while, but I think we just went nekkid or with regular undies, went to the potty a LOT with false alarms, and bribed with oreos!! LOL Good luck!
so cute!
Very pretty! I love the soft colors!
Gorgeous! Great coloring :) As far as the potty training goes...we had a tough time with DD and DS...neither would poop in the toilet for the longest time...they would "hold it in", and you can imagine the results from that!
This is beautiful, I love the colors!
So we got our oldest DD potty trained by using panties and also giving M&M's for a job well done! But what REALLY sealed the deal was when she got sick and was RUNNING to the potty! Not that I would wish sickness on your son, but I'm thankful for it!
I tried really hard to not bribe, but that's what worked best.
Good luck!
This is really cute! I love the colors!

Oh, we're in the same boat here with the training. My little guy was staying dry and doing great at peeing on the potty, then we went away for the weekend and left him with my parents. Now I'm back to square one.
My husband put him in undies before leaving for work for the day -- leaving me with a housefull of children, and a yucky mess to clean up. Three pairs of underwear and three floor moppings later, I put back on the diaper and we'll try that this weekend when I'm not the only parent to yell "NOBODY MOVE" and then clean up. Yuck.
I'll be stalking this thread for any help that anyone has to share on this charming topic! ;-)
it's like a walk on a beautiful summers day! aahhhh summer......
This is great! Love your coloring, the colors, and your embellishments!
My four-year-old watched a great DVD when she was potty training -- "Elmo's Potty Time." My SIL is using it now and said it's working! :)
I wish I had some wonderful advice for PT time. I had a horrible experience with first child (I was ready--he was not). Second child pt-ed herself (she was ready--I was not). Third child, we just took it one day at a time (yeah--with candy bribes). Just remember to positive reinforce all Big Boy acts (toileting or just picking up toys)--that seemed to help.
The card is so fun--so spring!
I love your new banner and this card! Beautiful!
As for the potty training, I'm not sure how old your son is, but boys generally do train a little later than girls. And boy or girl, I think the fact is that they will do it when they are ready to do it. All you can really do is encourage him. I think if you show you are frustrated, it just takes longer. Hope this helps!
Love the card, the pastel colors are so pretty.
as for potty training no help here... sorry :)
Love this card!!..gorgeous colors and coloring!!
Good Luck with the training ......it just takes a little time...all of the sudden it will click in for him.
Beautiful card Ana!!! I so love your coloring, maybe one day I'll be half as good as you!!
Ana,
Awesome card! Love those dogs!

Ana, my HH and I never pushed either of our children on the potty training thing. The first was 2 1/2 and the second was 3 when they were fully potty trained.
It will happen when he's ready.
Also, I personally would never recommend using food as part of your potty training method. Food should never be used as a reward...JMO. Stickers and tattos are great if you choose to offer a "reward."
Bottom line...I've never heard of a parent taking their child to kindergarten in diapers. I wouldn't stress. While it's no fun to change diapers, you don't need your little one getting worked up about it.
BTW...love the card!
Ana,
Love the card. Seeing your card makes me want to forget about cleaning my house and just sit down and stamp all day long. But since everyone has been sick all week (including me) I guess I had better clean first.
As for potty training. When you are done, can I send you my 2 yr old?? :) My son was 3 1/2 before he was potty trained, just took longer to click with him. We did the run to the bathroom every 5 minutes and if he went #1 he got a gummy bear, #2 he got 2 gummy bears. That didn't work much with him as it did my girls. So we moved on to putting stickers on a train that I printed of the net. That seemed to help better.
My sil gave pennies to her son when went. Then when he was fully trained he got to spend what he had "made". i think that would have been my next step if ds wouldn't have caught on.
Just remember each child is different so even these tips may not work for your son. I am just so excited to start using them on my little dd come summer! (NOT!!)
