Today is the day ladies!! Whoot.. Whoot... Unity Stamp Co. is releasing some awesome new sets. This also means that I get to share my samples with you today. I am showcasing this adorable little bird set called "Hey Chick". I had a blast working with it. I came up with these two cards. The first one is the complete card of yesterday's sneak peek. I colored her in with Copics and added tons of glitter. She is so sparkly! The flowers are from SU along with the brads. Patterned paper is Basic Grey "Sugared" collection. The second card is a simple and bright card. I colored the bird with my Copics again. I also added tons of glitter to her tail feathers too! ( I heart glitter) The patterned paper is Basic Grey "Euphoria" collection. The ribbon on both cards is from Papertrey Ink. Anywho, that is all I have for today on my blog but I am working on another card that I will share at the Unity Release Party. Remeber that it will start in the SCS Member Forum at 8-10pm central time. Hope to see you there!
Have a great day :)

TCP Tuesday
What a great challenge Toni has for us today! She is the Hipster Hostess with the Mostess this week and her challenge is called "Christmas in July". So as you might have guessed, we need to make a Christmas card while sitting in 100 degree weather! I thought it would be hard but it actually got me excited about Christmas. I can't wait for it to get cooler again. Houston is not a fun place in July. Humidity and heat are not a good combination. Anywho I used the clearly swanky TCP Holiday sets. They are one of my favorite TCP sets. I picked the little car with a Christmas tree because my favorite part of Christmas is going with the family to pick out the perfect tree. So if you want to play along here are all the details.1. Each a week one of the The Cat’s Pajamas DT members will host a challenge.
2. The challenges will vary {stamp, color, theme, sketch, etc.}
3. You will have until {this} Saturday night to complete the challenge.
4. Link your project on this week’s hostess’ challenge announcement. This week you will link your project HERE.
5. TCP stamps are not required, but of course, highly encouraged. {Unless it is a challenge calling for a specific stamp}
6. There will be one winner each month. They will be deemed that month’s Swankiest Stamper and get $25 in Cat’s Cash {money to spend on the TCP site!}.
7. When uploading to SCS, please use the keyword TCPTUES18 for this challenge.
8. Alma will post the entries from the week the following Monday on her blog.
9. The newly crowned Swanky Stamper will be announced on the First of the Month and have his/her winning entry posted on The Cat’s Pajamas website where he/she will reign for the entire month.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #26
Thank goodness it's Friday! I am so ready for this weekend to begin. Anywho, today I bring you another awesome Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. I don't know how Taylor comes up with such great sketches week after week. Actually I do...she is SUPER TALENTED!! So, for this sketch I wanted to use my Pink Cat Studio "Party Animals" set. It sorta reminded me of the circus we went to last night. It was so much fun and Josh had a blast. Although, there weren't any farm animals, there were plenty of elephants and tigers doing amazing stunts. I also got the opportunity to pull out my new Imaginisce paper. I love this stuff. So sparkly and cute :) I colored in the animals with Copics and added some stickles for extra shine. To complete the card I did some paper piercing and added some SU brads. So, if you want to play along here are all the details you need to know.
1.You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? :)
2.You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the prize drawing!
3.If you're uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC26 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 26 or link your creation on this post.
4.Each week, I plan to have a Featured Cupcake Sampler! The cutest and most creative sample from the previous week will receive the featured cupcake sampler honors. The winner will receive the sketch ahead of time in order to create a card that will be featured along with a link to your blog on Cupcake Friday!

Rachelle Anne Miller Thursday
Hi all! Today is going to be a quick post. I have to drive my parents to the airport and then we have the circus tonight! Yippee. I love the circus :) Anywho, I made this card up last night for the Splitcoast Stampers sketch challenge. I figured I would ink up my cute little friend Lily from the Rachelle Anne Miller collection. Isn't she adorable? I combined her with some yummy Basic Grey "Sugared" patterned paper. I picked up my color combo from the paper. When I finished I felt something was missing so I added a few butterfly buttons from Making Memories. The ribbon and sentiment are Papertrey Ink. Well, that's all I have today but tomorrow brings another awesome Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge!
Have a great day :)

TCP Tuesday
Another Tuesday means another TCP challenge!! Whoot Whoot :) This week's Hostess is Katie. She has come up with another fabulous color challenge. She wants us to use orange, pink, and brown. Awesome combination if I might add! It's perfect for the summer. I decided to use Papertrey Ink's Summer Sunrise, Berry Sorbet, and Sweet Blush. The brown is Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip. The layout is one of Jen's Sketch For You To Try. I really love all her designs!! The stamp used is The Cat's Pajamas "Hula Cat". Isn't she cute? I colored her in with my Copics and added some stickles glitter on her skirt. The flowers are from Stampin Up's felt flower collection. (Love them!) The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's "Sugared" collection. If you want to play along here are all the details!

Wedding Bells
Happy Monday everyone! So, this weekend was somewhat crazy. Josh had a birthday party on Saturday. He had a blast! Then on Sunday we relaxed and I finally got some stamping done. I needed to make two wedding cards. My cousin is getting married next weekend in Miami and since I won't be able to attend I wanted to send her some handmade cards along with her gift. One will be from my mom and the other from me. I decided to pull out my Lizzie Anne Designs "Gettin' Hitched" set. I have had this set for some time but hadn't found time to use it. I was pretty excited about inking it up! Both cards were colored in with my Copics and embellished with SEI's "Jolee Chocolat" patterned paper. The layout for the chapel card is one of Julee's Mojo Monday challenge. Here sketches ROCK! Accessories on the first card are pearls, Fisker's side punch, PTI ribbon, and oval nesties. The flowers are from Stampin Up "Paper Pretties" collection. I tried to make this card look more elegant. The second card is a more fun design. The little car is the reason I first fell in love with this set! I super cute. I added some crystal effects on the back windshield and balloons. I also added stickles to the can trail. The ribbon is Papertrey Ink and the brads are also from the Stampin' Up "Paper Pretties" collection. The layout for this card is this week's Splitcoast Stampers sketch. Well that is all I have for you today but make sure to check back tomorrow for another fun TCP Tuesday challenge!
Have a great day :)

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #25
Yay!! It's Friday :) So, are you ready for another fun Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge? I bet you will be when you get a glimpse of this sketch. Isn't it great? I love all those circles because it gave me the chance to break out those buttons. Seriously, they were collecting major dust! (Just ask my neighbor Wynne who came over a few days ago....waving hi Wynne!!) Anywho, for the stamp I used my new Penny Black acrylic "Critter Party" set. The yummy patterned paper is from Basic Grey's "Cupcake" line. The ribbon and other card stock is from Papertrey Ink. To complete the card I added some stickles to the cupcake and rhinestones on the sides of the sentiment.
So, if you want to join in on the Cupcake Challenge fun here are all the details.

TCP Tuesday
It's Tuesday and Jen has a great TCP Tuseday challenge for us today! She is this week's Hipster Hostess. Today is an inspirational challenge so Jen picked this awesome Micheal Miller fabric piece. The great thing about this is that you can interpret it in so many ways. You can choose to go with the shapes, colors, or repetition as the motivation. I was inspired by the repetitive floral shapes and color. I found this piece of patterned paper from Basic Grey's "Stella Ruby" that really reminded me of the fabric. I then picked colors similar to the swatch and went with it. I omitted the blue because I wanted to keep girlie. The stamp is one of my favorite TCP images. I think the little animal train is so sweet. I also used the "Ring of Flowers" and sentiment stamps. Accessories used are nesties, SU felt flowers, Mike's dollar spot rhinestones, Copics, stickles, and PTI ribbon. So, if you want to play along here are all the details.
1. Each a week one of the The Cat’s Pajamas DT members will host a challenge.

Unity Monday
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. Today is a fun filled Unity Stamp Company day. I got to play with my new stamps this weekend and came up with these cards. I used the "Cocktail Party", "Birds of a Feather", and "Jolly Little Christmas" sets. I would have to say that my favorite is the first card. I combined it with this week's Splitcoast Stampers sketch challenge. I did some paper piecing on the dress and the lantern. The paper is SEI's Jolee Chocolat collection. I added some dew drops and bling for added dimension. The other two cards are Christmas themed. I know its July and HOT but I wanted something cool. I colored both in with my Copics and used my Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding" patterned paper. I have a few other images from these sets colored and I hope to get the cards finished and posted soon. Make sure to check back.
Have a great day!

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #24
Yay it's Friday! Does anyone have any special plans for this weekend? I hope to get some serious stamping done. This week has been mojoless for me but nothing works better to get me out of the slump than a Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge! Seriously I was not overjoyed about anything I made this week until this card. I do adore the cards I posted this week but those were made a while ago so they don't count. I decided to play around with my new Rachelle Anne Miller stamps. I think Milo and Lily are super sweet. I also went with a light pastel palette again. I have really been feeling the light hues lately. I colored everything in with my Copics and added some stickles in the flower centers. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's "Limitless Labels". The pearls, brads, and flowers are from the SU Pretties Kit. The ribbon is May Arts and the patterned paper is Memory Box "Sprout" collection.
BTW Taylor is having a huge sale over at her website that will go on until Monday. Don't miss out on some awesome goodies!!

My Favorite Things Thursday
Hi all! Today I have a fun Christmas card to share. I know its July but why not :) Since the weather is hot I did go with a more refreshing color combo. The stamp is from My Favorite Things Presents "Peppermint" by Annie LaPoint. I really love her collection. I picked some peppermint patterned paper to go with it from the Basic Grey "Figgy Pudding" stack. I paper pierced the pot with some dotted paper from the same stack. I tied some Papertrey Ink ribbon on the sides and added some dew drops. To make the dew drops pop more I did some paper piercing around them. Well that's all for today. Make sure to check back tomorrow for a new Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge. Its a great one!
Until then...

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #23
Happy Fourth of July everyone!! So what are your plans? We are going to go over to my mother's house and light some fireworks. Josh loves watching them and the hubby likes to light them. I always get paranoid with Josh and basically glue him to my hip the whole time. But he has such a great time that I end up enjoying it too. Anywho today I have a special 4th of July Taylored Expression Cupcake card! I used my new Just Johanna's space cupcake stamp. I know it's spaced themed but I thought it also worked for the 4th. I colored my image in with my Copics and added some liquid pearl to the cupcake icing. The stars are nesties die cuts. I embellished them with some rhinestones. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's "Limitless Labels". (I love that set!) Patterned paper is Basic Grey's "Recess" collection. Lastly, I added some SU striped ribbon and finished it off with some paper piercing. Well that's all for me today but if you want to play along in the challenge here are all the details.
1.You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? :)

MFTeaser Release Day and a Birthday Shout-out!
It's release day today! My Favorite Things will be hosting a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday night (July 2nd) 9-11pm EST EASTERN time over at the SCS member forum. July marks MFT's 2nd birthday AND Kim's 40th birthday, so there are LOTS of discounts and deals this month in addition to all the MFTeasers and your chance to become MFT’s next Guest Designer! You won't want to miss it!
I also have two more samples to share with you today. The first one is a new image from Annie LaPoint. I really love the bathtub images. They are so whimsical and sweet. I combined it with this weeks sketch challenge. I did some paper piecing on the bathtub along with pearl bead accents. I patterned paper is from Basic Grey "Sultry" collection. The primas are from Stampin Up and so is the crystal brad center. To complete the card I tied some luscious PTI satin ribbon in Blush.
The second card features the set called "Pullin' For You". This new MFT character is called Flopsey and he is supah cute! I colored him in with my Copics and did some paper piecing on his overalls. The sentiment was stamped on some Memory Box "Sprout" patterned paper and punched out with an SU dog tag punch. The ribbon is also PTI satin in Moss.
That's all I have for you today on my blog but I do have a few more cards done that I will post at the MFT cocktail party. Hope to see you there!
Until then..
Happy Stamping!
