TCP Tuesday

It's Tuesday, which means another TCP challenge!! Guess, what? I am your Hipster Hostess for today!! I am so excited since it's my first time hosting a TCP Tuesday. I hope I don't disappoint...LOL So today I have a sketch for you to try. I pulled the inspiration from a recent TCP card I made. I really enjoyed the layout so I thought I would challenge you with it :) I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! I combined it with the new TCP Fairy images. I find them to be so cute and whimsical. I colored everything in with my Copics and added some liquid applique to her robe. I also applied some stickles to her wings. The ribbon and card stock is from Papertrey Ink. The brads are SU and Imaginisce. The sentiment is stamped on an SU punch and the word Hearts is highlighted with a marker. To complete the card I added some ribbon tabs. Anywho, here are the rest of the details if you want to play along.

1. Each a week one of the The Cat’s Pajamas DT members will host a challenge.
2. The challenges will vary {stamp, color, theme, sketch, etc.}
3. You will have until {this} Saturday night to complete the challenge.

A Sneak & A Challenge

Happy Monday everyone! Hope your weekend was fabulous. Today I have two MFT cards to share with you. I want to start with the sneak peek, since I am super excited about this month's MFT new releases! I created this bookmark with the new Flopsey mini. Don't you just love him? I colored him in with my Copics and then cut him out. The rectangular bookmark piece was made with my long nestabilities. The sentiment was also stamped on a circle nestie. After I assembled the bookmark I added Flopsey with 3d glue dots. I think this would make a great gift for a friend. The second card features the new MFT Sketch challenge created by Cindy. She has come up with a fabulous layout. I combined it with one of my favorite MFT mini's. The set is called "What's Up Cupcake" and it has the cutest cupcakes and stand EVA! So, to make the cupcakes extra yummy I added some Taylored Expression glitter. It is soo sparkly in person. The ribbon is also for TE. To complete the card I added some rhinestones to create that vintage look. Well, that's all I have for you today, but tomorrow brings more SNEAK PEEKS! You won't want to miss it :)
Have a great day!

Pink Christmas

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. It's sunny and beautiful here in Houston. We have a few errands to make this afternoon, but before I headed out I wanted to leave you with some Pink Poison fun. I made these cards using the uberly adorable Pink Poison set called "Xmas Birds". Seriously, can these little guys be any cuter? The first card was inspired by this week's SCS color and sketch challenge. I colored everything in with my Copics and add some rhinestones for extra detail. The paper from both cards is the Imaginisce "Snowy Jo" collection. The second card was inspired by one of Julee's fabulous Mojo Monday sketches. I always go to her blog for inspiration! Thanks Julee! The sentiment on this card was created with my JustRite monogram stamp set. I love it because you can really costumize your cards. The flower was stamped in red ink and cut out, then placed on 3d glue dots. To complete the card, I added a rhinestone in the middle of the flower. Anywho, that is all I have for you today. Hope you enjoyed today's Pink Christmas :)
Have a great weekend!

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #35

Happy Friday everyone! Are you ready for another fun Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge? Taylor has come up with another fun sketch today. I combined it with my spooky little cupcakes. They are from the SASI line available at Taylored Expressions. I have been dying to ink up this little witch. I think witches are my favorite Halloween image. I colored her in with my Copics, and added some fancy black glitter to her cape and hat, which is also available at Taylored Expressions. The patterned paper is from DCWV Halloween glitter pack. Other card stock is from PTI and SU. The dots on the bottom are Taylor Tots. Once I finished the card I felt something was missing. I tried to find something other than my MS bat punch, since I seem to be using it on EVERY Halloween card..LOL Unfortunately, I found nothing that complimented my card expect the MS punch. hehehe So do you want to play along in the challenge? Here are all the details.
1.You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? :)
2.You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the prize drawing!
3.If you're uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC35 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 34 or link your creation on this post.

Piratey Fun Release Day!

ETA: Sets are now ONLINE!!
Hi All! Today I have some fun projects featuring the soon to be released TCP images. All these great sets will be available tomorrow!! The set of projects feature the super popular TCP Pirate images. I, for one, have a special love for Ronnie the pirate!! He is uber-cute!! So, to display them I decided to make a fun birthday boy emsemble. I bought a chipboard frame from Target's dollar spot a while back, and I decided I wanted to embellish it with my Pirate images. The frame was covered with DCWV Halloween pack. To go along with the frame I made some piratey party favors. I got the little bag template online and placed a candy pullout inside. To create the inside I stamped the pirate hat and then trimmed the top part off and then created the bottom square. I then stamped the treasure chest on a circle and scalloped die cut. I adhere the candy to the pullout piece and glued the treasure chest on the candy. Well, that's all I have for you today but make sure to check out the TCP site tomorrow. You are going to go wild when you see all the fun images.
Until then,

PS Many of you asked how I made the paper bag witch's broom. I actaully got the idea from the Martha Stewart site. Here is the link.

TCP Sneak Peeks!!

Are you ready to be enabled?! Well, look no further, I have some serious The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks to share today! Alma, has once again created some ADORABLE holiday images. The Cat's Pajamas will be releasing 3 new sets tomorrow. There is a Pirate, Fairy, and Halloween set. Today I am showing you my Halloween and Fairy samples. The first set features a cute little witch along with a witchy treat holder. I actually got the idea for the broom treat from Martha Stewart. The card completes the Halloween ensemble. The tree is actually cut out and placed on 3d glue dots. To make the tree more sturdy I covered it with crystal effects. The patterned paper is from DCWV. The second Halloween card was inspired by this week's SCS Sketch challenge. I used the cute little witch again. She is my favorite Halloween image. To make her and the cauldern pop I added some stickles. The patterned paper and decrative brad are from Imaginisce. The next set of projects feature the new Fairy line from TCP. I ADORE these cute little images. They are so whimsical. So, when I first saw the Sugar Plum fairy, I immediately thought "doorhanger"! Wouldn't one of these be perfect to add on your kids door on Christmas day. I filled mine with some gummy candy. I also made a card to match the door hanger. The layout is from Jen's SFYTT. Both projects are embellished with Imaginisce "Snowy Jo" patterned paper. I love that stuff! Well, that is all I have for today, but I have tons more to share tomorrow! Don't forget that all these sets and more will be available Friday, September 26th. Also, make sure to browse the other DT member's blogs for more fun samples. You can find the names and links on the right toolbar.

TCP Tuesday #26

Hi All! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Today I have a fun TCP Tuesday challenge and card. I know I'm late to post, but better late than never :) Josh has a bit of a cold so he has been grumpy all day. I finally got the opportunity to put the finishing touches on my TCP card. The Hipster Hostess this week is Toni. She is challenging us to use ANY Sprinkle stamp to create a card. Easy peasy!! I picked Sprinkle from the new birthday line. Isn't he cute holding that present? I also combined him with this week's SCS color challenge. The challenge was to use Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, and Very Vanilla. As I was searching for some coordinating patterned paper, I found this Basic Grey "Cupcake" sheet, which matched perfectly. I also used some super yummy satin ribbon that was practically identical to Kiwi Kiss. The little button brads are from Making Memories. Also, when uploading to SCS, please use the keyword TCPTUES26 for this challenge. Well, that's all I have for today but tomorrow brings some new exciting TCP sneak peeks!!
Until then,

MFT & a great CAUSE!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am actually writing this post incredibly late due to a date mix up. Recently, my dear friend Cammie, came out with a beautiful set called Whimsical Autumn release through Gina K. Designs. What makes this set EXTRA special, is that she is donating ALL her proceeds to the Alzheimer's charity. Cammie recently lost her grandmother to this memory robbing disease. So, in order to help with the cause, Kim is giving a 10% discount on ALL stamps on the MFT site. Use the coupon code Cammie at checkout to receive 10% off all the stamps in your shopping cart. (It won’t discount your other merchandise, just stamps.) She will donate 10% of ALL proceeds (including money spent on other items on the site) to the National Alzheimer’s Association. The problem is the SALE ends TODAY! But you still have time to place that order and also contribute to a great cause!

Cammie is also having a HUGE BLOG CANDY Extravaganza!! Make sure to check out her blog for more details.

Hugs,

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #34

Happy Friday everyone! Having missed last week's Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge, I am super excited to start them up again. I adore all of Taylor's sketches. Today is a fun layout. I combined it with my spooky little cupcakes. They are from the SASI line available at Taylored Expressions. I colored the pumpkin in with my Copics. The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket. Other card stock is from PTI and SU. Once I finished the card, I felt something was missing, so I took some sticker embellishments from the CC patterned paper pack and adorned the card. I used a cresent moon and star stickers and added some rhinestones. To further complete the card, I did some faux stitching with my white gel pen. So, do you want to play along in the challenge? Here are all the details.

1.You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? :)
2.You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the prize drawing!

Pink Poison Thursday!

It's been a while since I showed you some Pink Poison eye candy! Last night I pulled out my new "Lucky Bunnies" stamp set. Aren't these bunnies the cutest? For the first card I drew my inspiration from the new SCS Sketch challenge. It allowed me to display the balloon bunny perfectly. I also picked some non-traditional colors for my little friends. I wanted to go a little brighter than I usually do. I sorta went back to my old ways in the first card, but I think the second one really took me out of my comfort zone. I used DCWV Glitter pack patterned paper on both cards. I really love that collection of papers. It's fun and glittery! I actually need to start hoarding it because I am running low :( Anywho, the coloring was done with my Copics and I did some paper piecing on the purple bunny. Other accessories are PTI ribbon, MM brads, SU brads, Target dollar spot flower brad, cuttlebug, and swiss embossing folder. Well, that is all I have for today. Make sure to come back tomorrow for some TCP new release sneak peeks. You won't want to miss it :)
Until then,

Rain or Shine

Hi All! So I finally had some time to stamp last night. Gosh, I really miss my stamps!! I was extra excited to play along in the new MFT Forum Fun. I love all the challenges the team has come up with. Yesterday's challenge was to create a card using the most popular MFT set "Rain or Shine". Not only do I love this set, but the sentiment fits perfectly with my current feelings! Since the sentiment says it all I am dedicating this card to all of you who left me messages, sent emails, said prayers, and offered their homes during hurricane Ike. I am forever grateful for all your kindness. Also, if you find some time please continue to pray for all the families that have lost their home.

ETA: Since my head is in the clouds I didn't read the complete challenge. They also require you to add bling to Rain or Shine.

If you want to play along, head on over to the MFT Forum to get all the details. If you do play you will have a chance to WIN a $5 gift certificate to the store, and all the daily winners will be entered for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate at the end of the month.

I'll be back later with a TCP Tuesday challenge and card!
Until then,

Hurricane Ike update

UPDATE: Hi friends! We have made it through this massive storm in perfect shape. By the grace of God everyone is safe and we are a part of a lucky few that still have electricity! Things got really bad around 5:00am. It was SUPER scary!! Luckily Josh slept through it all. The house has minor damages like missing shingles and branch debris. Other than that everything is intact! Although we were spared many people have suffered serious loss. Please continue to pray for our fellow Texans. I also want to thank EVERYONE who has left comments and sent emails. Your words mean so MUCH!! I will keep you updated!
Hi loyal readers! I just wanted to stop in and let everyone know that I will not be posting this weekend due to Hurricane Ike. It looks like he is headed right towards us so we are frantically trying to get everything ready. We will ride the storm so please keep us in your prayers. I will resume posts as soon as the storm is gone. Hopefully, we won't be without power for to long. I will keep you updated.
Many hugs,

Pink Poison Wednesday

Hi All! Sorry for the late post. The past few days have been focused on Hurricane Ike which is brewing in the Gulf Coast. We live in the Houston area so we are concerned that it will hit us this weekend. Keeping our fingers crossed that it decides to go somewhere else. Anywho, I finished up this card earlier today using my Pink Poison "Dream Quotes" set. I combined it with this week's SCS Sketch challenge. I flipped it over to better accommodate the stamps. I really love this set. Also, if you haven't checked out the PP website you need to because Marie has released some new FABULOUS sets. I will make some samples and share them with you in a few days. I'm keeping it short and sweet tonight but make sure to check back for some more PP cards tomorrow.
Until then,

TCP Tuesday

Good Evening everyone! Sorry for the late post. Today, Jen has a great The Cat's Pajamas challenge to share with you. She has picked a super fun magazine page as an inspirational piece. I was actually so inspired by the page that I made to projects! The first is obviously a card...LOL and the second is a fun gift tag. The stamp used for both of them is my favorite non-Sprinkle/Poochie TCP image. That animal train holds a special place in my heart :) Both projects have Imaginisce patterned paper. I thought the colors worked with the inspirational piece. I also used circles and stripes to mimic the rug and curtains of the room. The colors are also inpsired by the layout. Accessoires used are SU felt flowers, Copics, dew drops, Petaloo tag, and prima flowers. So if you want to play along here are all the details.

1. Each a week one of the The Cat’s Pajamas DT members will host a challenge.
2. The challenges will vary {stamp, color, theme, sketch, etc.}
3. You will have until {this} Saturday night to complete the challenge.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #32

So, I am a little late posting this but better late then never! I made these cute little pumpkin treat bag holders earlier this week. I got the idea from Martha Stewart. I stuffed the orange lunch baggies with candy and used some floral tape to make the stem. The vines are pipe cleaners. The tags feature the cute little pumpkin cupcake from the Taylored Expression "Trick or Sweet" set. To complete the Halloween ensemble I need to make a card. I used the new Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge as my layout. I LOVE IT!! I also combined it with the Halloween Key Ingredients. The scary little house is from the "Frightful Night" set. Isn't it adorable? Not only is it spooky but it would also work with other themes such as "Just Moved" or "Welcome Home." It really is so versatile. Well, that's all I have for today but if you want to play along in the sketch challenge here are all details.

1.You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? :)
2.You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the prize drawing!
3.If you're uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC32 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 32 or link your creation on this post.

Stamp a Sweet Impression - RELEASE DAY!

Stamp A Sweet Impression stamps have officially gone LIVE over at Taylored Expressions!! How exciting!! So to celebrate the launch of this amazing company I decided to enable you with some birthday goodies. The set I used is called "Sweet Celebrations". It features the cutest little cupcakes EVER! So, while play around with my birthday cupcake stamps I got a cool idea. I thought I would come up with some birthday favor ideas. I love when parties are personalized and made by hand. I think they make it extra special. So instead of a goodie bag I made a paper candy holder. I found the template online and embellished it with the Birthday Boy key ingredients. I also made a party hat. I think that is my favorite project. I cut some strips of patterned paper from the key ingredients and tied some tape on the botton. Then I used my scissors to curl them. I then adhered the curlies to the inside of the paper hat. The dots are 3D glue dots that where embellished with Taylored Expression glitter. (Also part of the kit) Lastly, I made a birthday card. I colored everything in with my copics and added glitter to the cupcakes too. I am having so much fun with these stamps! I have another cool Halloween project coming up so make sure to check back. Also, make sure to check out Taylor's blog for more enabling and stamp deets. But, first head on over to Taylored Expressions and get your new stamps!! They are going to go FAST!

MFT New Release Samples!

So, did you check out the new My Favorite Things stamps? Aren't they the cutest? I have some serious eye candy for you today! I am featuring the rest of my card samples. I am so excited about these cards. The first one was made using the new Christmas set. I love that little Appletini! I wanted to make a special card for that image so I made a Christmas ornament shaped card. I just traced a clear tin on some red card stock and hand drew the hanging part. The card is adorned with Imaginisce patterned paper. The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink and the jumbo eyelet is from SU. To make it green I used some paint pens. The second card is my favorite little bunny "Floopsie" dressed up as a scary ghost. LOL Since he is so cute I couldn't make him to scary. I went with a non-traditional color pallete. How can you not add pink when a bunny is involved? The bats are a Martha Stewart punch. (Love that punch) The patterned paper is also Imaginisce. The third card features Mr. Scarcrow. This set is called "We're Not Scared" and is illustrated by Stephanie Fizer. I colored him in with my Copics and added the cute little owl to his shoulder. He is also popped up on 3d glue dots. The sentiment is also MFT. To make the image pop I added some glitterly accents with my Spica pens. The buttons complete the card. Lastly, I made a card using the new BCDzyns set called "Hey, Chica". This set is extra special because Kim's daughter, Brianna, created it with an illustrator! How cool is that?!! This line of stamps will include teenage themed designs. They will be sassy and modern. I can't wait to see what they come up with next! Well, that's all for today. I am off to pick up DS from Mother's Day Out.
Have a great day,

They are called Stamp A Sweet Impression and will be available exclusively at Taylored Expressions!! So, to add to my excitement, Taylor asked me to be part of her Baker's Dozen Design Team!! I can't explain the JOY I felt when I first opened that email! Seriously, I was floored to have been asked to join the team of my STAMPING IDOL. I love everything about Taylor. Her kindness, friendship, and imense talent blow me away. I am more than honored to design for her. I know she will have huge success!! Today I am featuring a sneak peek of the new Halloween cupcake stamps called "Trick or Sweet". These are seriously the cutest Halloween stamps EVER! One of my favorite scary cupcake is Dracula! Isn't he ADORABLE? I colored him in with my Copics and added some black glitter, also available at Taylored Expressions, to his cape and bats. The glitter is super fine and sparkly! The ribbon is a deep red satin. I love it!! The bat punches are from Martha Stewart and the brads are SU. The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket. To complete the card I added some rhinestones to the sentiment and cape. Well, that is all I can show you today but I have tons of other cards and projects lined up for the rest of the week!!
