MFT Sneak Peak Day 4

Hi All!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Mine sure is flying although I haven't done much of anything. I did however get a chance to play with the 4th of the 5 new MFT releases that is set to go on sale tonight at Midnight. Yup..I said tonight ladies!! I am so excited to see what everyone else comes up with when they get their sets!! For this card I played along with the Inspiration challenge over at SCS. I took some of those elements and came up with this card. The beautiful lacey bloom was stamped with VersaMagic Plumeria ink. I also stamped another flower image with Creamy Caramel ink on vellum cut it out and placed it underneath the pink flower for added dimension. The flower center is a pearl from K&Co. Card stock is SU Basic Grey, Pretty in Pink, WW, and Basic Grey Perhaps PP. The brads are SU and the ribbon is May Arts. Techniques used are paper piercing. Don't forget that all these sets go on sale tonight. Hugs Ana

MFT Saturday Sneak Peak 3

Happy weekend everyone! Hope everyone is having fun and relaxing. So today is MFT Sneak Peak 3 featuring the ADORABLE "Meet Me at the Cafe" set. This is my favorite set in the release. Its so Oh..La...La!! The girls are colored in with prisma colors and gamsol. I also have a small confusion to make about one of the girls. When I first saw the lady in the left I thought, how cute she has leggings but, while browsing the other MFT design team member's examples I noticed that they were supposed to be boots. *blush* I can't believe I looked at her and thought leggings instead of boots. I was going to change it but, I thought oh well its just another view on an adorable set. The card stock is SU Guava, Whisper White, Kraft, and Basic Grey "Perhaps" PP. Accessories used are SU Oval punches, ribbon, cord, brads, and Marvy scallop punch. Stay tuned for tomorrow's sneak peak. Have a great weekend. Hugs Ana

Edited to Add: Kim from MFT is offering an amazing deal for all you ladies that want to get all five sets. Its called the Take 5 special which means you get them all for just $65.00. YIPPEE!!

In this card I combined it with the yummy Basic Grey "Perhaps" PP. They both go so perfectly. Other card stock is SU Mellow Moss and Basic Black. The stamp is from MFT "Lets go for a Walk". I LOVE this set. I tried to match the colors of the dogs and lady with the card stock to give it that clean look. Also, if you are a MFT fan (who isn't) then you will be happy to hear that their will be 5 new sets released on October 1!!! Sneak peaks start here Thursday. Stampendous Thursday

Here is the last of my Christmas Stampendous stamps :( I might have to buy some more since I am completely in LOVE with all their winter images. They are so whimsical and fun. For this card I decided to play along in the sketch challenge over at SCS. The coloring was done with my prisma colors. (BTW I am still working on the coloring tutorial) Card stock is SU Real Red, Old Olive, Certain Celery, Sky Blue, WW, and Basic Grey Blitzen PP. The snowflake is actually a flower from the Maya Road clear blooms. I just did some cutting to resemble a snowflake and added dazzling diamond for pizazz. The sentiment is from the must have The Cats Pajamas Swanky stamps. This sentiment is my favorite! Accessories are SU brads and SU ribbon. Stay tuned for some more stamping tomorrow. Hugs Ana

If you are a huge Penguin lover like me then you are going to love this new stamp from Stampendous. Its ADORABLE!! Anything penguin always does something to me but, this one is too much. I had a blast making this card. I colored the cuties in with my prisma colors and added crystal effects and Dazzling Diamond glitter. I also used liquid applique on the penguins hats. The card stock is SU Real Red, Basic Black, WW, and Basic Grey "Blitzen" PP. The sentiment is from SU Tres Chic background stamp. I used my marker to only ink up the word BELIEVE. I love how that stamp gives you so many options. Accessories are May Arts ribbon, silver cord, brads, and Paper Studio metal letters. The layout is an older sketch challenge from SCS. Stampendous Monday

Hi All! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed our family's pool all Saturday. It was so nice and Josh finally learned how to swim by himself with his floaties. Before he would just take in water and tip over. I'm so proud of him! I did get some stamping done but mostly I just relaxed. It was nice to take a break. The card I did finish features the new Stampendous Pookie stamp. I love him!! He is so cute and I had so much fun coloring him in. I used my prisma colors along with gamsol. I added some liquid appliqué on his hat and elf slippers. The sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas new Fall collection. Card stock is SU Certain Celery, Bayou Blue, Real Red, Basic Black, and Blitzen Basic Grey PP. Accessories are SU brads, ribbon, and silver cord. To complete the card I did some paper piercing and faux stitching. Stay tuned for some more Stampendous tomorrow. Hugs, Ana

So isn't this Penny Black Halloween stamp the cutest?!! I love the little furry spooky creatures. I love Halloween so when I find adorable "spooky" stamps like these I always have to get them. MFT Monday

Hi All!! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was superb since I got tons of stamping done. I just set up my itunes and stamped the day away with all my new eP goodies. It was so nice to just have a whole day of "me" time. This is the first of several cards I did this weekend. It features the MFT "Falling for You" set. I love these images since they are so much fun to color and they give me a great excuse to pull out my prisma colors. For card stock I picked SU True Thyme, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, and VV. Also used was my new Basic Grey "Mellow" PP and the Glimmer Mist. If you haven't tried the new Glimmer Mist you really should because it adds that extra "sparkle" to your cards. I like it because it can be subtle if sprayed lightly or bold if you spray more. A tip if you do get the Mist make sure you spray from about 10 inches away so that the spray will be even on your project. If you spray to close then it will just make a mess. Along with stamping I also had a chance to participate in some SCS challenges. It had been a while since I had the time to play along. For this card I used this weeks sketch challenge. Other accessories used is SU ribbon, SU circle and oval punches, pewter hardware, and 3d glue dots. Stay tuned for some Penny Black tomorrow.

Pool Party Invites

My good friend asked me a few weeks ago if I could make some Pool Party invites for her daughter. The theme was going to be a Luau so she wanted something that would fit the decor. I immediately knew what stamp I wanted to use. A few months back I purchased this adorable Impress Umbrella rubber stamp. It was an impulse buy since I really didn't need it but I loved it and I knew it would come in handy sometime. And it did!! I stamped the umbrella on Whisper White card stock and then cut it out. Then using my beloved Scor-Pal I scored the ridges and then folded it to make it look 3d. The background is Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Blooms set. The flower centers have liquid pearls and the ribbon is May Arts. Other card stock used is SU Elegant Eggplant and the back (not shown) is Pretty in Pink which is embossed with the swirls cuttlebug folder. These were so easy and quick to make and my friend really enjoyed them.

Papertrey Ink Wednesday

Today I decided I wanted to show you something other than a card. When I first got my Spooky Sweets Papertrey Ink set I knew that I wanted to make a decorative project with it. This set provides so many different possibilities in Halloween decor and gifts. The floral arrangement was made by stamping on fabric canvas with Stampin' Up classic ink. The inside is a regular cylinder vase I bought at the dollar store. The flowers are silk but using fresh ones would also look beautiful. Accessories used are Stampin' Up pumpkin grosgrain ribbon and copper cord. The tag was made with my new SU scallop circle punch. Aside from the Spooky Treats I also used Papertrey Ink's Circle Corners & Borders. Stay tuned for some pool party invites tomorrow. Hugs~ Ana

I'm Baaack!!

Before I get into the post I want to share some AMAZING and super EXCITING news. Remember I told everyone earlier this month that I was trying out for The Cat's Pajamas design team... Well before I headed out on my mini vacation this weekend I got a email from Alma (owner of TCP) telling me that I made the team!! I am so excited to be part of such a talented design team. Thank you Alma for this awesome opportunity! Oh, and if you haven't checked out Alma's new TCP's website you need to run over and take a peek. She did an awesome job with the new site and the new Fall 2007 release. Stay tuned for some TCP's samples later on this week.

Back to the post....So I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I, for one, had an awesome time but and I am also so glad to be back
home. This past weekend we headed out (about 45 minutes from home) to the In-Laws beach house in Galveston, Tx for some fun and relaxation. It was so nice to just soak up the sun. DS had a blast and he even had his first jet ski ride with DH. I was a little nervous but DH made sure to go really slow. Here are some pictures from the weekend. Don't forget to check back tomorrow for some new cards.
