Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Wednesday!

Boy, am I excited about today!! I can finally start showing you the adorable SASI sets that will be available on Friday at Taylored Exprssions. Today I am featuring the new Year of Sweets 3. Taylor has created 3 amazing sets that go along with each month. Each set contains 4 images that coordinate with a special event that happens during that month. She will also have this darling Frame Your Imagination Vertical Stand for sale! All the products you will need to create a super cute calender for the new year will be available at Taylored Expressions. I love how this idea is practical yet adorable. The best part is that you can used all twelve images for tons of other occasions. How cool is that? So for my vertical calender I painted it with brown acrylic paint first and then once dried I painted it with white. Then, I sanded it down so that I could create an aged look. To embellish the stand I used some beautiful Zva crystals, flowers, and brads. I really like how they make it look shabby chic. The images on the calender where stamped on the new Choice Cardstock that will also be available at Taylored Expressions. It's a sturdy 100lb. cardstock and it gives perfect results with Copics and accepts ink so well when stamping bold images. I love it!! Once I colored the image in I cut it out and placed adhered it with 3d Zva glue dots. Well, that's all I have for today but tomorrow brings more sneak peeks. You won't want to miss it!! Also, don't forget to check out all the other samples the super talented Baker's Dozen has come up with. All their links are on the side bar.

TCP Tuesday

So I'm a little late in posting my TCP Tuesday challenge, but this is the first time I've had to sit on the computer! The hipster hostess today is the AMAZING Leigh! She has created a awesome layout for us. I had lots of fun with this card. I really made me smile :) I used my TCP "Smells Like Cake" set. I colored everything in with my Copics and added some stickles on the cupcake and the penguin party hats. The patterned paper is from DCWV. I am SERIOUSLY in love with these papers. It reminds me of Dylan's Candy Shoppe. Yumm! Anywho ribbon is from PTI and all other accessories are from Zva Creative. I love all the rhinestones, brads, and silk flowers in their line! Anywho, if you want to play along all you have to do is like your card to this post. If uploading to SCS make sure to use the keyword TCPTUES39. Alma will feature all the cards on her blog on Monday! Can't wait to see what you come up with :)

BTW Don't miss out on that sale at The Cat's Pajamas either...today is the last day to take advantage of the 25% discount throughout the entire online store!

Pink Poison Monday

Hi All!! Whew, it's been a while :) I hope everyone had a fabulous and safe Christmas holiday. I had a blast spending time with family and friends. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year :) I didn't do to much stamping since I wanted to spend as much time with the family as possible. I did manage to sneak a few projects in during the weekend but for the most part I took a much needed break. I am back refreshed and ready to get some work done. I will have tons to show you in the days to come. But before then, I wanted to share this Pink Poison card I made featuring Cowboy Ian. (BTW Pink Poison will officially change its name to The Greeting Farm starting Jan.1) I colored Ian in with my Copics and added some Shimmerz Blingz in Spiced Cider to the stars and hat. I took a close up so you can see the shimmer! Patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket. Brads are from SU and ribbon is from PTI. Anywho, that's all for today but make sure to check back for more cards tomorrow!
Until then,

Pink Poison Tuesday

Hi All! Hope everyone had a fun weekend. I have been super busy with so many things I don't even know where to start. I still have some Christmas shopping to do which is causing me to lose some sleep..eekk. I so don't want to head out to the stores today. Are you done with your shopping? I also have to help out my MIL at her flower shop so my time will be limited. But before I head out into the madness I wanted to leave you with some cards. These are some Pink Poison cards I made earlier this week featuring the "Caketopper" set. I love this little wedding couple. I colored everything in with my Copics and add some Shimmerz paints on the dress and stickles on the wedding bell bow. Patterned paper for both is from SEI. Well, I think everything else is pretty self explanatory. I will try and get a card posted tomorrow but just in case I wanted to wish EVERYONE a VERY MERRY Christmas!! Please be safe and see you on Friday!

Many hugs!!
Ana

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #47

Whew!! I finally found some time to post my Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge. I love this sketch. I decided to use my Caroling Cupcake from my SASI "Home Sweet Home" set. I colored everything in with my Copics and added a snowflake ornament on the back of the cupcake image. The inspiration for the color combo was taken from the patterned paper. To complete the card I added some PTI ribbon and SU brads under the sentiment. So, if you want to play along here are all the details.

Teacher Thank You Thursday

Hi All!! So it's super late but I just got back from shopping. I am so exhausted with all the final Christmas details. I can't wait until it's over and I can finally relax again! Anywho, before I go to sleep I wanted to share this project I made for my son's teachers. I made them a box with personalized note cards. I used my new JustRite monogram set to create the wording. The apple stamp image is from Papertrey Ink's Limitless labels. I also used the stamped label stickers to decorate the candy filled test tubes. The box was also purchased from Papertrey Ink although I think they are now discontinued. The paper used to decorate the box is from SEI. The inside of the box holds the note cards along with some pens. The box is adorned with some beautiful ribbon, snowflake ornament, and dew drops. The quote is originally inspired by the new PTI "Teacher's Apple". Since I don't have that set, I decided to replicate the sentiment using my rectangular JustRite wood stamper along with the Brayton font. I tied it to the ribbon with some silver cord. Well, that's all for today but tomorrow brings another Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge.
See you then,

Wonderland Tuesday

Hi All! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Today I have some fun Pink Poison cards to share. They are from the new "Wonderland" set which is designed around Alice in Wonderland. Isn't Alice adorable? I heart this set because Alice in Wonderland happens to be on of my favorite Disney movie. I love all the whimsical/fantasy nature of the movie. One of my favorite scenes in the movie happens to be with the Mad Hatter. I love his "tea party"!! So for the first card I decided to use Alice which is colored in with my Copics. I then masked her and sponged with SU Pretty in Pink ink around her. The patterned paper is from DCWV Glitter pack. I thought it mimicked the whole swirly fantasy in the movie. I also displayed the sentiment in a similar layout as the paper. I really think it ties everything up. The second card features the Mad Hatter himself. I colored him in with Copics and did the same process of masking and sponging. The patterned paper is also from DCWV glitter pack. All other card stock and ribbon is from PTI. Anywho, that's all for now but I will try and get a TCP Tuesday card up tonight. The challenge is to use a Chrismtas tree stamp. Here is a link on how to play along.

Pink Poison Thursday!

Are you ready for some Ian cards? I hope so, because I have some super cute cards to share with you today. If you're familiar with Anya from Pink Poison then you will be happy to hear that Marie has created a little guy friend for her. His name is Ian and he is ADORABLE. Since I have a son myself Ian really makes me smile. The first card was made using the football stamp. I colored everything in with Copics and sponged the background after masking Ian. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Boxer collection. The star is a chipboard embellishment from Scenic Route that I covered with patterned paper. The sentiment is also from Pink Poison. The second card is Spaceman Ian. I created the moon by embossing a circled nesties die cut with the dotted embossing folder. I really like how it turned out. Then, I added some rhinestones in the background to resemble stars. Ian's spacesuit was colored with Copics and the white parts were painted with Opal Shimmerz paints. It's really sparkly in real like. The patterned paper on this card is from DCWV Glitter Pack. Anywho, that's all for today but tomorrow brings another fun Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge.

Christmas Spirit

I'm so excited that it's Christmas time already. This is one of my favorite holidays and now that Josh is old enough to actually enjoy and understand the meaning of Christmas I love it even more. We already decorated our tree and hung up the Christmas decorations. He loves them!! Anywho, since I'm in the holiday spirit I decided to break out some Stampendous images. I adore this little drummer boy stamp. I watercolored using my SU image pads and paintbrush. I also added some Shimmerz paints and liquid applique on the sheep. The patterned paper is from Me & My Big Ideas. The sentiment is from SASI "Home Sweet Home" set. Well, that's all for today but make sure to check back tomorrow for a new Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge.

MFT Blog Hop

It's time again for the super fun and exciting MFT release day and Blog Hop extravaganza! I had such a blast last month doing the blog hop that I couldn't wait to do it again. So for today I have three MFTeasers to share featuring the three new sets that will be available online tonight. The first card was made using my favorite of the release. It's called Paper Dolls and it comes with all different kinds of outfits to dress her in. I went with the ballerina theme and added the sentiment from the Essential sentiments set. I thought this would make a cute ballet recital congrats card. The patterned paper in this card is from Basic Grey "Urban Prairie" collection. The flowers and the dress are embellished with Shimmerz Opal paints. The second card features the one and only Flopsey. He is all bundled up for this holiday season. I watercolored him in and placed him on a snowflake ornament. The patterned paper is from SEI. I wanted to go with the woodsy feel. Lastly, I have a card featuring the Tote-ally Fantastic set. Again, I watercolored everything and added some Shimmerz paints to the display cases. The skirt on the girl is paper pieced with Basic Grey patterned paper. Floral brads are from Around the Block. Well, that's all I have for today but make sure to check out Laura who has more eye candy to share. Have fun blog hopping!!

My Favorite Things is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, December 3rd from 9-10 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are THREE new sets being released including a TOTE-ally awesome Who's that Girl set!

Head over to the MFT forum on Splitcoast Stampers to find out all the details and to find out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. We hope to see you there on Wednesday night.
