I think I can safely say that my favorite stamp set of the moment is Papertrey Ink's Green Thumb. I love the versatility of this set. The images are beautiful and make creating a stunning card so easy. For this card I used the pea, pot, and grasshopper image to create an organic feeling card. I tried to use earth tones in SU Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and some DP from Paper Studio that matched perfectly. I used the rock and roll technique on the pot and grasshopper. The ribbon is May Arts and the sentiment is stamped on Cosmo Cricket chipboard. I used decorative scissors around the main image and added some hemp on each corner. Other techniques used are sponging and paper piercing.

What A Suprise Wednesday BRAKS
I must say that I have the best friends ever. I know that for me blogging is a way to post my creative ideas online but it has turned out to be much more. From it I have made so many new friends and kept up with old ones. Not only are they great friends but they spoil me with these adorable cards and gifts.
The second one is from my amazing friend Tiffany. She is the one who started me on the awesome adventure of stamping. She also sent me a beautiful card with the new SU Double Line Doodles. I love how she used the punch for her border. She is so talented. Thank you Tiff!!

Too Cute Tuesday
Hello everyone!! Guess what?!?! I GOT MY CAMERA BACK!! YIPPEE..and its all in one piece. Wow did I miss her. Well aside from that I hope you guys had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Mine was nice we went to the IL's beach house but stayed inside the whole time since it rained cats and dogs all weekend long. But it was nice to get away and relax. So I didn't get to do much stamping done but I did manage to get this cute little card finished to share with you guys. Its another one of those adorable dinosaur Whipper Snapper stamps. I colored her in with prisma colors and added glitter nails with some stickles. She is really stylish. LOL The card stock used is SU Olive, Saffron, ChocChip, Pumpkin, and WW. The DP is from Hobby Lobby. The ribbon is May Arts and the brad is Paper Studio. The accessories are the SU Slit Punch and Cosmo Cricket chipboard. Other stamps used are Green Grass sentiments and the circles are from Papertrey Ink Butterfly kisses. I thought they matched the paper perfectly. Well, i'm off to stamp some more..stay tuned for some awesome BRAKS and new cards tomorrow.

Techniquein' Thursday
I thought I would share this money holder I made awhile ago for a friend's wedding since I still don't have a camera to upload my new cards. Unfortunately my mom left the camera in her hotel in Canada. However she did call when she noticed she had left it behind and luckily they found it and are mailing it back. The only problem is that I am not sure when it is going to arrive and if it will be in one piece! I am bummed but waiting patiently. I guess this is a good excuse to ask the DH for a new one*wink* hehehe This money holder card was an idea I got from SCS gallery. Since she asked for monetary gifts I thought I would make a cute money holder. The stamp is from Micheal's dollar bin and the fancy scrolls are from Paper Salon. The sentiment is from Green Grass. The card stock is SU Banana, Rose, Marigold, and WW. I used my circle scallop punch and May Arts plaid ribbon. The DP is LilyKate and the brads are Paper Studio. Techniques made are faux stitching and sponging. The wedding was so beautiful and she really liked it. Ohh..and keep your fingers crossed that I get my camera in the mail soon! Stay tuned since I have some great cards to share with you guys. Hugz Ana

Too Cute Tuesday
I have some exciting news. I have been asked by the creator of Scor-Pal Diana Crick to make some projects using her AMAZING scoring board. Let me tell you guys its such a time saver when trying to make a project/card that requires multiple score lines. Its also perfect for making regular A2 cards. It gives you such a nice score line for a clean fold every time. Its light weight and super worth it. I used it to make this wallet card to give to my DH for Father's Day. I am almost done with a picture tutorial on how to make it and when its done it will be posted on her website. Its super easy and has tons of pockets to place pictures, gift cards, or other memento's.

Happy Monday!! I hope you guys had a great one. Mine was nice, calm and relaxing. Last night I made a few cards with my Green Thumb set. I really love it and find it so refreshing and summery. For this card I decided to use the shoe as a flower holder. I used some colorful inks for the flowers in SU Real Orange, Regal Rose, Purple Lace, and Almost Amethyst. The card stocks used are SU Elegant Eggplant, Pale Plum, Olive, Marigold, and WW. I used my oval punch to display my sentiment and used some cute orange flower brads from Paper Studio. The DP is Chatterbox and the ribbon is May Arts. I did some paper piercing and faux eyelets to complete the garden/summer look. Stay tuned for some more Papertrey Ink cards this week!!

Fun Friday
TGIF!! The bad weather is behind us and a sunny weekend is ahead!! *Yay* Yesterday I took Josh to the zoo with a friend and her kids and we had a BLAST. The weather was nice and their were so many cute animal babies. The cutest was a little orangutan that came right up to the glass and right in front of me and pressed his lips on the glass and showed me his teeth and tongue. It was so funny but so fascinating to see a orangutan so close. He even made eye contact with me and they were almost human. It was so amazing.
Ok..back to stamping. As I was browsing Eclectic Paperie's the other week I noticed that they carried Rubber Romance stamps. I first saw their chic designs via the SUPER talented Taylor from Taylored Expressions. I always wondered where to buy some and was so happy to see them on EP. This card was made with the Paris street image. I bought it for my sister because she went to Paris a few years ago and fell in love with the city. I chose to color the scene in with my Prismas and added some bronze stickles on the Eiffel Tower. Card stock used is SU Banana, Cranberry, Olive, WW, and DP. Other stamps used is Paper Salon and SU Carte Postale. Materials used are gold brads and old ric rac. Techniques applied are Jen del Muro's faux eyelets and sponging. With all that said I want to also wish everyone a safe and fun weekend. Hugs Ana

Whatever Goes Wednesday
Here is the card I made using last week's color challenge over at SCS. It was inspired by Shane's Wish which is about a beautiful little boy named Shane that has leukemia and his wish is to receive 350 million cards by his birthday. The colors used in the challenge are his favorite so who could resist in being part of this awesome challenge. The colors are SU Tempting Turquoise, Cool Caribbean, Marigold Morning, and WW. The set I used is SU "Cute as a Bug" since that is my son's favorite and I am sure all little boys love Bugs!! The ribbon used is velvet turquoise and May Arts striped ribbon. The DP is Basic Grey. I added stickles on the caterpillar's bodies and used my SU large oval punch as a tab. The brads are Paper Studio and I used a white gel pen for the faux stitching. The ant is cut out and placed on dimensions. To finish the card I did some sponging and paper piercing. I really hope he likes it and that it brings him a HUGE smile!! Happy Birthday Shane!!
Too Cute Tuesday
Isn't this bird the cutest little stamp you have ever seen. It's another one of the fabulous images from Whipper Snapper. When I saw Anna Wight aka Sweetmissdaisy make a card with this stamp that she designed I just knew I had to get my hands on it. For this card I colored the birdie and flower in with Prisma colors and added crystal effects to add dimension. I did some paper piercing around the image and then filled the spaces in between with pink dots. The card stock used is SU Banana, Marigold, Rose, Olive, and WW. The DP is Basic Grey. Both ribbons are May Arts and the circle clip is from SU Hodgepodge Hardware. The flower stars on the borders are from Papertrey Ink's Butterfly Kisses and the sentiment is from Green Grass. The ribbon slider was made with my new Cuttlebug die cuts. BTW I am so glad I finally have a cuttlebug its worth every penny!! Also I had a question about where to find Jen del Muro's faux eyelet tutorial and actually I just saw her display a card with it and sort of made my own version. I believe that she pierced the holes with the paper piercer and then used a white/silver/gold gel pen around the holes to create that look. Jen if you are reading this and I am wrong I apologize and feel free to correct me. Its a genius idea that creates a great look. You rock Jen!!

Mail Out Monday
Happy Monday everyone!! I hope all the mommies had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day!! I for one have been crazy busy. I am not sure if you guys remember but my MIL has a flower shop that is run by the family and I have been making arrangements all weekend long. That is one of the downsides of having a flower shop.. holidays make you the money. But honestly I didn't mind since I love flower arranging almost as much as stamping. It's so relaxing a mist the chaos. I also didn't post much during last week because I didn't have the charger for my camera and the weather has been so BAD that it made it impossible to go get it. On Thursday we even had golf size hail which was really scary. However the weather didn't stop me from stamping. I got a few cards done to share with you guys. My mother is going to Canada on vacation this week so I am letting her borrow my camera. But rest a sure that I have all my cards lined up and downloaded for this week. BTW I know I have a lot of wonderful Canadian friends and readers and I was wondering what must see places that my parents should visit. They are going to go to Ottawa, Toronto, Quebec and Montreal. I told my parents about all the wonderful Canadian friends I have made through my blog and SCS and they got even more excited about the trip. I told her that if Canada is anywhere as nice as the people they were in for a HUGE treat!!
Ok..enough of the rambling lets get to today's card. This card was inspired by the CPS blog site which offers tons of wonderful and creative card sketches. The adorable stamp used is from High Hopes. They have the cutest images and their stamps are deep etched rubber. They are of wonderful quality. The sentiment is from Green Grass. I colored the "stinkin" cute skunk with my prismas and added some stickles for added bling. The card stock is SU Celery, Olive, Marigold, Rose, Banana, and WW. The DP is from Basic Grey. The ribbon is from May Arts. The faux eyelets were a wonderful idea I got from the AMAZING Jen del Muro. She is a genius in coming up with these creative tips. To finish the card I did some fauxAwww...its so nice to be back to blogging. I have missed you guys... hugz Ana

An Oldie but a Goodie
It rained so hard down here last night that it made it impossible to drive over to my mom's to get my charger. So I tried to scan the card I made with the SCS color challenge this week (found here) to send to Shane's Wish foundation but it came out terrible!! I figured that I would just wait to post it tomorrow. BTW you should really check out this little boy's site. He has leukemia and his wish is to receive 350 million cards. I was so touched by this little boys strength and warm smile that I just had to be part of his wish.
Since I could not upload the picture I decided not to leave you guys without a card again so I found this card I made a while ago that I thought was worth showing again. I used the SU Cute As A Bug which is also the set I used for Shane's card. For this card the dragonfly was stamped on Whisper White card stock and colored in with prisma colors. I then added crystal effects along with dazzling diamond glitter. It's really sparkly in person!! Other paper used is SU Celery, Burgundy, Pretty in Pink, and Chatterbox DP. The ribbon is burgundy organza and the oval eyelets are from SU. Other stamp sets are SU Canvas background and Basic Backgrounds.

Err..No charger :(
Well as you can see I have no card up for today because I left my camera charger at my mother's house. Err...I am going to go pick it up tonight when she gets home from work. Wow..I never realized how important my camera is to me. I even missed out on my DS playing with a bug. I know that sounds gross but it was so cute he said it was his "friend." That would have made a great scrapbook page..*frown* Oh well I am sure another critter will come along and be his friend another time. Since I have no card uploaded I wanted to share the mural I have been working on for the past year in my son's nursery/playroom. I am still not done since I can only work on it at night and lately I have been stamping away instead. Not that I mind. The only problem is he is not a baby anymore and I am not sure if the baby theme goes. I guess it will have to work for now and maybe it will be ready for when I decided to have another one a few years from now..hehehe

What a weekend!!
Wow...this weekend was non stop fun for me. Since this past week was also one of my girlfriends birthday we decided to go out with the girls and celebrate. We went to a restaurant and had a few drinks and since it was Cinco de Mayo (a huge Mexican holiday in Texas) there was live music and tons of people. It was so much fun. Then on Sunday DH, my sister, and I went to see Gwen Stefani in concert. Ladies...it was a BLAST!! I am a huge Gwen fan so I go see her every time she comes but this time I scored some AWESOME tickets that were right up front. It was an awesome experience and she even had my DH dancing...hehehe The only bad thing was that it was an outdoor pavilion and it was so HOT and HUMID!! That's Houston weather for you but I hardly noticed since I was having so much fun. She even went inside the crowd. She ROCKED. Ok, enough of the crazy obsessed fan talk...hehehe Unfortunately, I did not have time to stamp but I will do some cards tonight to share with you tomorrow. Here are some pictures of the concert.

Fun Friday
Well guys we have made it through another wonderful week. Its time to relax and in my case stay inside since its been pouring and will continue to pour through the weekend...bummer!! Oh well that just means more stamping!! YAY!! Well this is the last of the baby boy cards I will be making this week. I am all go for boys but well I have some catching up to do on baby girls. Maybe I'll do that this weekend. For this card I used my new (Yes, Kirsten I have made yet another WS order!!) Whipper Snapper "Its a Boy" stamp. BTW if you are a fan of their stamps or just plain breathtaking work head over to Kirsten's blog to be blown away. She is the Whipper Snapper queen and I'm well just a peasant...hehehe The card stock used is Celery, Marigold, Banana, Olive, WW. The DP is from SEI. I used a chipboard button from Cosmo Cricket and added some May Arts ribbon. I did some dots around the button and the card with my white gel pen. The image was colored in with Prisma Colors and I added some crystal effects on the turtle shell. The frame around the turtle and frog was cut using decorative scissors. The photo corner is from the amazing Green Grass stamps. (I know I cant seem to make a card without their stamps.) Also, you have to head over to Heidi's blog for a chance to win some awesome blog candy. Plus her work is so inspiring and beautiful. Aside from that I just wanted to wish everyone a safe and great weekend. Hugs Ana

Too Cute Thursday
I have been noticing lately that you can never have enough baby cards ready to go. Someone always seems to be having a shower or delivering a little one. So I decided I would stock up on some!! Plus I love making cutesy baby cards. This one was made for a dear friend that should be having her baby boy any day now. I thought I would use my MissyB stamps for this one. I choose the darling little frog which I colored in with Prisma colors. The card stock is SU Celery, Olive, Bashful Blue, Banana, Whisper White, and Choc Chip. The DP is from the Basic Grey LilyKate collection. The sentiments are from my FAVORITE Green Grass stamps. The ribbon is May Arts (which I am beginning to run out of..hint Judy needs to have another share..hehehe) I also used two of my SU punches. One is the slit window punch and the other is the Spring Mini tab punch. Now he just needs to hurry up and be born ;)

Whatever Goes Wednesday
Nothing says summer like a tall glass of ice cold lemonade. This was the inspiration for this card. I have had this SU Sparkling Summer set for a while and have never inked it up. I always thought it was adorable but just sort of forgot about it until yesterday. As I was looking through my stamps I noticed it and thought... ummm I think I will make a summer card. The paper is SU Certain Celery, Barely Banana, Old Olive, Real Red, and Whisper White. The DP is Basic Grey. I used my scalloped square punch to matte the lemonade image which was inked with VersaMark and Iridescent EP. It shines a lot more in real life. The sun's are from the Paper Salon Oodles and Doodle set and the sentiment is from Green Grass stamps. The ribbon slider is from the Lil' Davis chipboard collection. I inked it up with Summer Sun SU ink. The brads are from the Paper Studio and the ribbon is from SU. To finish the card I did some faux stitching and edge distressing.
Birthday Thank U's !!
I want to thank everyone who sent me so many Birthday Wishes. The kind words and the beautiful cards I received made my 25 birthday the best ever. I feel that through blogging and SCS I not only get to use it as a creative outlet but also a place to make some wonderful friends. Here are some of the beautiful cards that were sent to me wishing me a Happy B-day.
This one is from Julie Kohler aka Rubbernecker. I love all the beautiful details and the cuttlebug embossing is my favorite. (That's what I got for my B-day from sister) The colors are so pretty to.
Last but certainly not least is a card from Lynn aka stampinLynn. She created this beautiful flower card. I actually don't have this set but after seeing this it is on my wish list :) I love how she sponged the card giving it that fresh airy feel.
I also got a card from Crafty Turtle but its displayed in my work office. It makes me smile every time I see it.
