More TCP Peeks!!

So how about some more TCP Sneak Peeks?! I have two cards to share with you today. The first card is my favorite of the bunch. I absolutely LOVE the penguins and cupcake image!! I colored everything in with my Copics and added stickles to the cupcake. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey "Cupcake" collection. The star is a nestabilities cut out. The second card is a fun birthday card. I love the little cupcake thinking cloud. I, for one, love going to birthdays for the cake so I can relate to this little guy! I stamped the present stamp in light pink on the bottom of the card. I thought it made a nice border. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey "Euphoria" collection. The rhinestones are from Mike's dollar spot. The ribbon and card stock are from Papertrey Ink. To complete my card I added another adorable Fancy Pants heart pin. That's all for today but make sure to enter my blog candy giveaway in the post below for a chance to win one of these new sets. Don't forget that the sets go online on Friday!

TCP Sneak Peeks & Blog Candy!!

I am so excited to be able to start showing you my The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks! I simply ADORE the new birthday stamps Alma has come up with. The first peek I have for you today features a cute little penguin holding his balloon. Isn't he cute? This set also comes with numbers 0-9 so you can customize your cards to fit the birthday boy or girl. In this case I made a birthday card for my nephew that turned 4. I used Basic Grey "Cupcake" patterned paper and colored everything in with my Copics. I also picked some buttons to embellish my card. I think it adds a playful element. To complete the card I did some paper piercing under the swirly sentiment and added a star pin from Fancy Pants.

Now let's get to the good part! Alma has generously donated a giveaway set to all the Design Team members. Whoot Whoot!! So I am offering mine up today. The set is called "You Say It's Your Birthday" and all you have to do to enter is leave me a comment letting me know what your favorite birthday cake flavor is. I love white cake with chocolate frosting!! Yummo! You will have until Thursday night 12:00am. Good luck!!

Baby Weekend

Hi All! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I spent mine celebrating DH's 31st birthday and making these baby shower invites for my cousin. I made 25 of these cute little cards. I like how they turned out. I wanted something clean, crisp, and cute. The giraffe image is from Impress Rubber Stamps. The other stamped images come from Papertrey Ink. The giraffe is framed with a scalloped nestie die cut. The ribbon is from May Arts. To complete the card I added some stickles to the giraffe's spots. It's pretty sparkly :) Anywho, that is all I have for you today but tomorrow brings some super exciting The Cat's Pajamas sneak peeks and a chance to win a FREE SET!! Whoot Whoot! I can't wait.

You guys are going to love these new stamps. They are ADORABLE! (and I am not just saying that either!) I used the cake stamp and my favorite sentiment of the bunch. I heart cake! Pink Poison Cake Mania

How about some more Pink Poison cards? I am having so much fun with these stamps. They stamp like a dream! I decided to play with the "Fancy Cakes" stamp set. I really love the cutesy yet fancy cakes. I wanted to make some wedding themed cards so I picked some delicate and soft patterned papers to complement the images. I colored everything in with my Copics and added some liquid pearls to the cake icing. The first card is embellished with Basic Grey patterned paper and SU pearls. The ribbon and card stock is from Papertrey Ink. I also used my nesties to mat the cake and flower. To complete the card I ran a paper pierced line on the top. The second card is more subtle. I really wanted to make it simple so I could highlight the beautiful cake. The patterned paper is from Memory Box "Sugar" collection. Accessories are dew drops, liquid pearls, SU eyelets, and Papretrey Ink card stock. The layout was inspired by an past Mojo Monday challenge. Anywho, that is all I have for today but I am working on a few more Pink Poison cards. I will post them on Monday.
I'm off to the Kenny Chesney concert! Whoot Whoot!
Have a great weekend :)

New Stamp Company Highlight!

I know I've been a bad blogger this week..but to make it up to you I will have two posts to share today. The first post features a new amazing stamp company called Pink Poison . Isn't that a cool name? Equally cooler are her stamp designs. Marie (aka designer/owner) recently contacted me asking if I wanted to try out her new stamp line. Of course I said YES!! I instantly fell in love with her creative vision. She has something for everyone. This particular stamp set features a beautiful bird and some inspirational "Dream" quotes. I combined it with this week's SCS sketch challenge. I really like how it turned out. I love the simplicity. It really highlights the beauty of the stamp. I also wanted to point out that the quality of the stamps are amazing! They are deeply etched red rubber that comes mounted on EZ foam. All you have to do is cut them out and stamp. I am really excited about this new company and I am sure that great things are in its future.
Stay tuned for more Pink Poison samples along with another Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge!
Have a great day :)

Crackled Glass

So, I made this card a few weeks ago and forgot to post it. I made this for my mom who needed an uplifting card for a co-worker. I knew right away I wanted to use my Papertrey Ink "Every Day Blessings" set. I love the quotes and crosses this set has. I used the cracked glass technique to create the cross image. Before I applied the glossy embossing powder I painted over the cross image with my pearlescent watercolors. It added an extra fun element. I really like how it turned out. To complete the cross I added a K&Co rhinestone in the middle. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey "Sultry" line and card stock is also from Papertrey Ink.
Have a great day :)

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #28

Yay it's Friday!! I am so excited about this weekend. Saturday actually marks my 5 year wedding anniversary. I can't believe it's been 5 years. It seems like just yesterday I was marrying my soul mate. So to celebrate our special day we are heading out to a wonderful restaurant called The Rainbow Lounge for dinner and then hitting up a comedy club for a good laugh and some drinks. It should be fun. My anniversary gift was the concert to John Mayer that we went to last weekend and, I gave him tickets to see Kenny Chesney next week. He has been dying to see him in concert so lucky for me it fell close to our anniversary. I can't wait.
I am also excited about the start of the Olympics! I can't wait to see the opening ceramony. I am especially excited about this years games because a friend from high school is going to be competing. Her name is Diana Lopez and she along with her two brothers are representing the USA Taekwondo team. Good luck guys!!

So, how do you kick off an amazing weekend?...Well, with an amazing Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge!! I love this sketch. (I know I say that about all of them!) I combined it with my serverly underused Papertrey Ink "It's A Celebration" set. I love its whimiscal images. To compliment the fun cheery look I picked some Basic Grey "Cupcake" patterned paper. The card base is PTI Lemon Tart card stock and the main image is matted with Berry Sorbet. Other accessories used are K&Co rhinestones, PTI ribbon, circle nesties, and glitter.
If you want to play along here are all the details you need to know.1.You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? :)
2.You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the prize drawing!

Spooky Treats

It's a quick post today. I have a few minutes before I have to leave. But before I head out I wanted to post this card and treat box using the new My Favorite Things "Totally Witchin" set that was released yesterday. If you haven't headed over to the MFT site you need to run and check out all the new sets. They really are adorable. Anywho, the card is pretty self-explanatory and the box treat was made with an online template I found. You can't really tell by the picture but I stamped the spider web with white craft ink and added stickles to resemble dew drops. The ribbon is from Mike's dollar section.
BTW Make sure to check back tomorrow for another fabulous Taylored Expression Cupcake Challenge.

Until then,

MFTeaser Day 2

How about another set of MFTeasers? This time I am featuring the new outdoor set called "Nature Calls" along with the coordinating mini called "What's your Sign?" This set has the cutest woodsy creatures. It also has an adorable tent along with our favorite My Favorite Things girl. The first card was made with the tent image which is paper pieced with some SEI "Oasis" patterned paper. The little sign and sentiment is part of the mini set. The layout for both cards are from Jen's Sketch For You To Try. I heart her layouts!! The second card features the MFT camper girl ready to head out for a hike. I highlighted the many animals she will encounter on the trail...LOL! Again I used SEI "Oasis" patterned paper. All images were colored in with my Copics. Well, that's all I have for my blog today but I do have some more to show. I will share then with you tomorrow but if you really need to see then now *wink* head on over to the SCS MFT member forum for the release party. The party starts at 9 and ends at 11. Sets will go live at 10:30pm!!
Hope to see you there!

MFTeaser Day 1

Yay! It's finally time to start sharing some spooky MFTeasers. I heart Halloween! I love the decorations, the dressing up, and the start of Fall. So, since I love Halloween I decided to start my Teasers with the new "scary" sets. The first one features the new Monster Squad set. Aren't they ADORABLE! My favorite Halloween set by far. It's actually a new MFT Presents set designed by a new artist named Stephanie Fizer. Patterned Paper and brads are from the new Imaginisce "Hallowhimsy" collection. The second set is called "Totally Witchin". I am loving these witches. They are so stylish!! I paper pierced the dresses with some DCWV PP. The background is watercolored with Pearlescent watercolors. It's hard to tell by the picture but it's really glittery. Anywho, that is all I have for you today but I do have some more teasers to share with you tomorrow.

BTW My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, August 6 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. This month there are FIVE new sets being released and some great new ribbon added to the store.

*The Girl Who Wants It All special for the The Aug Collection, which is one of each set being released, is $65.

Head over to the MFT forum on www.splitcoaststampers.com to find out all the details and to find out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. We hope to see you there on Wednesday night.
