I'm Baaack!!

Before I get into the post I want to share some AMAZING and super EXCITING news. Remember I told everyone earlier this month that I was trying out for The Cat's Pajamas design team... Well before I headed out on my mini vacation this weekend I got a email from Alma (owner of TCP) telling me that I made the team!! I am so excited to be part of such a talented design team. Thank you Alma for this awesome opportunity! Oh, and if you haven't checked out Alma's new TCP's website you need to run over and take a peek. She did an awesome job with the new site and the new Fall 2007 release. Stay tuned for some TCP's samples later on this week.


Back to the post....So I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I, for one, had an awesome time but and I am also so glad to be back home. This past weekend we headed out (about 45 minutes from home) to the In-Laws beach house in Galveston, Tx for some fun and relaxation. It was so nice to just soak up the sun. DS had a blast and he even had his first jet ski ride with DH. I was a little nervous but DH made sure to go really slow. Here are some pictures from the weekend. Wedding Bliss

One of my good friends from High School just got married a few weeks ago. She is super sweet so I really wanted to make her a nice wedding card. I knew I wanted to break into my new Rubber Romance bride stamp. I have actually had this image for a while but have not had a chance to ink it up. I stamped her on Stampin' Up Shimmery White card stock and colored her in with my prisma colors. I added liquid pearls on her dress and used it to add jewelry too. I then cut her out and placed her on some Chatterbox PP. Other card stock used is SU Blush Blossom, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, River Rock and Basic Grey PP. The sentiment is from MFT "Sassy Sayings." The scalloped border was made by using my SU slit punch. The flower which I outlined with liquid pearls is one of Maya Roads clear blooms and the square brad is SU. The ring charm is actually some left over decorations from my wedding 3 years ago. They are actually wedding cake charms I never used. If you are interested the maker is Treasure Masters. Other accessories are SU Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon and silver cord. MFT Sneak Peak #3

Just as promised here is another sneak peak featuring the new My Favorite Things "Shower Time" set. It will be released on September 1st so don't forget to mark your calenders. For this card I did some paper piecing on the umbrella. I also applied some crystal effects to create the plastic/wet look. She was colored in with my prisma colors (Read here for a sweet prisma deal Kim is offering) The sentiment is MFT's Sassy Sayings. Card stock used is Stampin' Up Pomegranate, Pumpkin, Amethyst, Whisper White, and Basic Grey DP. The brads are Paper Studio and the ribbon is SU. The flower is Maya Road clear blooms which is covered with SU micro beads. The rhinestone center is K &Co. Techniques used are paper piercing, sponging, and faux stitching.

The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peak #3

We are officially only 2 days away from The Cat's Pajamas new Fall 2007 stamp set release!! How exciting..you are going to love what Alma has in store for you. So since the release is just around the corner I decided I would share the last two examples I made with the awesome stamps. The first one is of Poochie in the chimney. Isn't he just to cute? I colored him in with my prismacolors and added some crystal effects to the ice on the roof. Card stock used is SU Certain Celery, Old Olive, Basic Black, Real Red, Bayou Blue, Whisper White, and DCWV Christmas pack. The ribbon is May Arts and the brads are SU.

The second card features the savvy little futuristic car with the Christmas tree on top. I stamped the image with my Stampin' Up markers and added stickles to the lights. The ribbon is SU and so is the silver cord. Card stock is SU River Rock, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Whisper White and DCWV. Technique used is paper piercing. So here is my version of the altered tin that holds my prismacolors. I used the MFT "Let's Go For A Walk" and "It's Elemental" set. I colored them in with my prismacolors. The card stock used is SU Guava, Sky Blue, Pomegranate, and Whisper White. The ribbon is May Arts in plaid and polka dots.

MFT Sneak Peak #1

Hi All! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. So today I have the first of several My Favorite Things sneak peaks. Kim is releasing this super cute mini set on September 1st. You must visit her blog to get all the juicy details. This set is a must have since it works perfectly for both bridal and baby shower invites. This is great for me since most of the card orders I get are both baby and bridal invites. For this card I chose the baby theme. I cut out the ladies umbrella and popped it with 3d glue dots. I stamped falling gifts and colored both of them in with my prismacolors. BTW Kim is also release her Favorite 48 prismacolors on her site. I have a future post with all those details later this week. The card stock used is SU Sky Blue, Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou, WW, and Crate Paper PP. The clip is from Oriental Trading Co. and the ribbon is SU. I did some paper piercing to complete the card. Other accessories are SU circle punches. Swanky Saturday

I think its time for some more The Cat's Pajamas cards. August 31 is quickly approaching and that means you can finally get your hands on the super adorable new Fall 2007 TCP's images. Today I have two more cards featuring three darling little penguins and the famous Swanky Sprinkles. I think the little penguins are one of my favorites. They are so cute. I colored them in with prismacolors along with Sprinkles. I did some paper piercing around the penguin mat and stamped the new swirl image to look like they were skating. The mittens are also part of the new line of stamps which are also colored in with prismacolors. I cut them out and hung them from some grosgrain ribbon. The brads are Paper Studio and the card stock is SU Navy, Real Red, WW, and DCWV PP.
In the second card I used my coluzzle to cut out a big half circle. I then stamped Sprinkles inside and colored him in with prismacolors also. The sentiment around the circle's edge is also part of the new Fall collection. Card stock used is SU Real Red, BBlack, WW, and DCWV Christmas mat. Technique used is faux stitching. Iris Bloom Thursday

Hi All!! Today I am going to share with you another Papertrey Ink Beautiful Blooms card. Although I have a few more The Cat's Pajamas cards to share I am going to wait till next week when the release is closer to show those to you. This card was so quick to make. I tried to make it simple and elegant like the Iris stamp from the Beautiful Blooms set. I stamped the flower with VersaMagic chalk ink. I also framed the flower with the PTI Borders & Corners set. I used the Giga Circle scallop punch and a rhinestone to finish the main image. Other stamps used is the SU Sanded and Canvas background. Card stock is SU Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Blush Blossom, WW, and Basic Grey PP. Other accessories are SU brads, oval punch, and grosgrain ribbon.

Well I am off to bake DH a birthday cake since today he turns 30!! Happy Birthday.. Honey Bunny!! Love ya~Ana

The Cat's Pajamas Scrappin' Wednesday

How about some scrap booking layouts for a change? I have not scraped in ages and all those pictures I have taken are really starting to pile up. So when I saw the new images from the TCP's fall 2007 release I knew they were the perfect touch for my past Christmas pictures of DS. These pictures have been sitting in a box for a while and it was nice to finally get them out and give them a new home. The first layout is a 8X8 page. I used SU Wild Wasabi, Sky Blue, Whisper White, Real Red, and DCWV Christmas stack PP. I used the circle coluzzle to frame the three adorable images. Other accessories used are Paper Studio brads and grosgrain ribbon.
The second layout is a 6x6 page. Card stock used is SU Real Red, Blush Blossom, WWasabi, Pretty in Pink, WW, and DCWV Christmas pack PP. The big photo corner is a sticker from DaisyD's. The sentiment, presents, and swirls are from the new TCP's release. I also did some journaling with a white gel pen. The presents (which were colored with prismacolors) and the photo corner are on 3d glue dots.

Papertrey Ink Tuesday

Hi All! Today I am taking a small break from The Cat's Pajamas. I will continue the sneak peaks tomorrow so stay tuned for that. So yesterday was a GREAT mail day. I received my Papertrey Ink and Stampin' Up orders. It was like Christmas in August!! I love everything I got so much I didn't know where to start. I finally settled on playing with my new Papertrey Beautiful Blooms set. I love these stamps. They are so much fun to work with. The card stock is from the Stampin Up order and is the new textured Sky Blue card stock. I really like the look of this paper. Its a little light weight but it gives that clean sophisticated look. Other card stock used is Crate Paper "Birdie" collection. The sketch is another one from Card Maps. They have the neatest layouts. Accessories used are SU Bold Brights brads, SU Olive ribbon, and scalloped scissors. Well, off I go to stamp some more :) Hugs, Ana

The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peak #2

Are you ready for some more cards featuring the adorable The Cat's Pajamas stamps? Well, I have two more to share with you today. The first card was made with the super cute polar bear image. I think he might be one of my favorites. I stamped him on SU Sky Blue card stock and colored him in by water coloring with white Stazon. The sentiment and the swirls are also part of the TCP Fall release. Other card stock used is SU Basic Black, WW, and DCWV Christmas stack. The ribbon is SU and the swirl clip is from Paper Studio.
For the second card I used the stacked presents and smaller swirl images. The sentiment is also TCP's. I colored in the presents with prismacolors. The card stock is SU Basic Black, Old Olive, WW, and DCWV Christmas stack. I did some paper piercing around the main image and popped it up on 3d glue dots. The vellum tag is from Paper Studio and the rhinestone placed on the end of the sentiment is from K&Co. Well I hope you are enjoying the examples I have for you. And I also wanted to thank everyone who helped me change the site feed on my blog. I really do have the BEST blogging friends EVER!!

The Cat's Pajamas Saturday

So remember a few days back I mentioned that I was working on some super secret stuff. Well this is it. Some weeks ago I got an email from the creator of The Cat's Pajamas Alma de la Rosa. In the email she asked me if I would be interested in trying out to be in the TCP's design team. I instantly replied YES!! How exciting is that. I LOVE TCP!! They have the cutest little images EVA. I immediately got to work when I received some of the new Fall line of stamps that will be available to the public on August 31. And ladies let me tell you they are so CUTE. Get ready because for the next few days you are going to get some serious enabling when I show you some examples with the new stamps. I hope Alma and everyone likes what I did with them. Crabby Thursday

Isn't this crab from GinaK designs the cutest little guy ever. He was so fun to color and he was the perfect image to add my new googly eyes on that I bought from Micheal's. I colored him in with my prismacolors. The sentiment is from MFT's "Sassy Sayings" and the faux stitching is also MFT's "Its Elemental." Both these sets are a must have in any stampers collection. They always help me add the perfect finishing touch. The sketch is from CardMaps. The brads are Paper Studio and the ribbon is SU. The card stock is from SU! in Bayou Blue, Real Red, WW, and Chatterbox PP. Techniques used are paper piercing. In other news I am frantically tracking my SU shipment. Edited to Add: I was browsing the SCS sketch challenge earlier today and noticed that this sketch looked a lot like the SC136. I originally got the idea from sketch maps blog and had it drawn in my notebook for future casing. I took some of the sketch they had and added a few of my own details. Wow that is pretty weird!!

Whipper Snapper Wednesday

I sure have missed making a card with my Whipper Snapper stamps. I really wanted to play with my new flock also so I thought this cute little mouse with a heart was the perfect contender. I colored him in with my prismacolors and added the pink flock on the heart and his cheeks. I used Quicky Glue to adhere the flock. The card stock is SU Blush Blossom, Cool Caribbean, Chocolate Chip, WW, and Basic Grey DP. Other stamps used is SU Canvas background and MFT's "Sassy Sayings". It has the perfect sentiments for ANY card. Accessories used are cuttlebug embossing folder, SU ribbon, May Arts ribbon, MM clip, and SU brads. Techniques used are paper piercing.

I'm Baaack!!

Yippee!! Its so great to have the Internet back. Geesh, its been really hard not being able to get online. I missed everyone. So the phone guy finally showed up yesterday and after hours of trying to figure out what was wrong he just decided to run new phone lines. Bless his heart he was outside working at 100 degree HUMID weather. But he fixed it :) I did get some stamping done which I can't wait to share with you. For today's card I picked the owl card. The owl is another one from Sideshow stamps. I colored him in with my prismacolors. The card stock is SU River Rock, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Wasabi, WW, and Basic Grey Urban Couture DP. The ribbon is SU and so is the hardware. The sentiment is from MFT and the leaves on the bottom corner are from Paper Salon's Oodles and Doodles tin. Hi All!!

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been MIA but our phone line is broken and the phone company is not coming out until Saturday. Eekk..you have no idea how hard its been with no internet or telephone. Luckily I have my cellphone. I am writing from my mother's house and let's just say that its a little ancient and takes forever to load. But I had to let everyone know what was going. Water for Elephants Thursday

So this card was inspired by the book I just finished reading called Water for Elephants. I know I might sound a wee bit obsessed but it was a great book and it gave me a great excuse to use my new SideShow Elephant stamp. I first stumbled upon Sideshow stamp's site through Sarah Moore's blog. She has a link to their store and when I took a peak I just knew I had to get my hands on some of these images. I was instantly drawn to the elephant. I think he is too cute. I mean who doesn't like elephants? I ordered a few more stamps which I will share with you soon. The elephant was colored in with prismacolors and rhinestones were added to his back piece. The card stock is SU Chocolate Chip, Real Red, River Rock, Old Olive, Whisper White, and Basic Grey DP. I tried to make the back panel look like a Moroccan column. I used decorative scissors on the outer layer to create the effect. The left over side pieces were used as photo corners. Accessories used are cuttlebug embossing folder, SU brads, SU twill and copper cord, and SU paper piercer mat. The sentiment is from MFT.

PS I was asked by a fellow stamper if I had any other suggestions for a new summer read. I have a few I would love to recommend. I really enjoyed East of Eden by John Steinbeck and Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides.

"Soak It Up" Tuesday

This is my first 4.25 x 4.25 card I have ever made. I always see them in the SCS gallery and I always wanted to make one that size. They are so much fun and super quick. Its also the first time I break into my new "Hit the Beach" set from MFT. With the temperature hitting around 100 degrees down here there is no other place I'd rather be then at the beach or a pool. I also accented with the MFT "Its Elemental" new release. The card stock is SU Blush Blossom, Bayou Blue, Wasabi, WW, and Basic Grey DP. The ribbon is SU. I colored in the girl and coconut drink with my SU markers..*taking a break from prismacolors" Hope everyone is having a FANTASTIC summer and soaking up the sun!!

MFT Monday

Hi All! I hope everyone had a FABULOUS weekend. Mine was filled with TONS of stamping but unfortunately I can't show you any of then yet *bummer* But soon you will along with a super exciting announcement. After I finished all the super secret stuff I pulled out the new MFT "Its Elemental" set. I am so loving this set too. I also has tons of possibilities and its one of those sets that you pull out when you need to turn a pretty card into a STUNNING card. It has all those awesome additions like ric rac, stitching, dots, swirls, and so much more. Check out the whole set here. For this card I used the bird image along with the swirls and the dots. The dots were stamped along SU Blush Blosoom card stock to create faux ribbon. Other card stock used is SU Olive, Chocolate, River Rock, and Whisper White. The sentiment is also MFT. Thursday Happy Hour

Here is another image from A*Muse that I purchased from them recently. I instantly fell in love with this flower drinks stamp. I thought it was so cute and would work for so many occasions. This card's occasion is Party Time!! I used colorful card stock to go along with the theme. Its SU Red, Olive, Pretty in Pink, Plum, Amethyst, WW, and Basic Grey DP. Other stamps used are SU Canvas background and Micheal's dollar stamp. Accessories are SU brads, decorative scissors, SU ribbon, and prima flowers. Techniques are paper piercing. BTW I was browsing A*Muse's new stamps and noticed that they have this same stamp but instead of flowers they have candy canes inside. That might have to be my next purchase *wink*

Pumpkin Patch Wednesday

Hi All!! Last night I decided I wanted to play with my new a muse stamps. This is the first time I order from them and I really loved their adorable stamps. I might have to buy a few more. *smile* This card features the "Pumpkin Tent" image. I colored it in with SU markers. The sentiment is also a muse. The card stock used is SU Chocolate, Olive, Rust, Cocoa, WW, and Chatterbox DP. The ribbon is also SU and May Arts. The hardware is SU in pewter. Techniques used is paper piercing. MFT Sneak Peak

Only one more day until you can get your hands on all four of the new MFT sets!!! I can't wait to see what other stampers come up with when they order theirs. Today I have another card using my favorite of the bunch "Home for the Holidays" I decided I wanted to create a peaceful living room scene so I used the fireplace with the cozy fire. I used the rug image and with my SU markers only outlined the outer two lines to create a mirror. You can't tell too much from the picture but I added crystal effects to make it look like glass. I colored in the fireplace with my prismacolors and again accented with SU markers. The three stockings are on 3d glue dots and I added stickles on the fire. Card stock used is SU Olive, Chocolate, River Rock, WW, and Blitzen DP. Accessories used are cuttlebug embossing folder, SU grosgrain ribbon, May Arts ribbon, and SU pewter brads. Technique used is paper piercing. I hope you enjoyed my sneak peaks. I had a blast working with these amazing sets. They make it so easy to make a beautiful card.

Mothermark RAK Monday

Guess what I got in the mail today. The SUPER talented and one of my favorite SCS stampers Cindy aka Mothermark sent me this beautiful card. She was the Featured Stamper before me and she was sweet enough to case one of my cards and give it to me congratulating me on being the next FS... and ladies let me tell you its beautiful!! I thought that was such an awesome gesture. Thank you sooo much Mothermark. BTW you need to check out her gallery its fabulous and she always has the best stories to go along with each card.

MFT Sneak Peak Day 3

Have you had enough enabling yet? HEHEHE...I know I am bad ;) Here is another set from the new MFT release. Its called "Let's Hear It For The Boys" Its super cute and again has tons of fun possibilities for cards. And if you are like me you probably don't have many guy/men stamps so when Father's Day or other birthday's come along its hard to find a stamp that fits the theme. That is why I love this set because its super cute and versatile and makes the perfect masculine card. For this one I colored in the images with my SU markers. I thought I would take a break from my prismacolors. The background is stamped with SU Flannel. The card stock is SU Olive, Sky Blue, Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, WW, and Chatterbox DP. I did some paper piecing for Jeanne's Dirty Dare challenge over at SCS. I am so enjoying all the fun. The hardware is SU and so is the ribbon. Techniques used are paper piercing. MFT Sneak Peak Day 2

Ok, so this is my favorite of the bunch. I love all the new sets but I have a weak spot for Christmas stamps. Kim out did herself with MFT "Home For the Holidays". It has such different possibilities that I found it hard to pick just two card scenarios for you. You can really make tons of different and unique Christmas cards with this set. For the first one I picked the cute fireplace and hung Santa's feet out the bottom. His cuffs have liquid applique for added cuteness. All the images are colored with prismacolors. The card stock is SU Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Bayou, Olive, WW, and Blintz Basic Grey DP. The ribbon is May Arts and the bling is made by stickles and rhinestones. The brads are SU. The layout is for SCS's week long Dirty Dozen challenges. You need to head over and play its tons of FUN!!The second features the adorable Christmas tree. I colored it in with prismacolors and put it under the rug that is also included in the set. The rug was stamped on Blintz DP and then cut out. Other card stock used is SU River Rock, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, WW, and Basic Grey DP. The ribbon is SU and May Arts. The layout is also one of the challenges at SCS. MFT Sneak Peak

Hi All!! I am so excited to show you some cards and projects featuring the new MFT sets that will be release on August 1. This set is called "Back to School" and is perfect for all school themed cards, gifts, and scrapbook pages. I decided to try one of those luggage badges. I was inspired by the super talented Jen and all her awesome tags she makes. I ordered mine through Oriental Trading Co. and had a blast making one. The teacher is colored in with primsacolors and the chalkboard is stamped with Brilliance Graphite Black also available at MFT. I love the intense black color it gives to all acrylic stamped images. The "Back to School" is embossed with SU white EP. The card stock is SU Appricot, Wasabi, WW, and Basic Grey DP. Other accessories used are SU circle punch and SU paper piercing matt. The ribbon is SU and May Arts. I am still finishing up another project with this set and plan to upload it later on in the afternoon/evening. So make sure to come back. Have a great weekend...Ana

Gina K Thursday

Just as promised here is the card I made with the most adorable GinaK stamp eva!! I think this sassy little octopus is so cute. I love her long eyelashes and pouty lips. I colored her in with prismacolors. The sentiment is from Green Grass and the backgrounds are SU flannel and dots wheel. I had to use the bubbles cuttlebug embossing folder again since it goes so well with any sea theme. Card stock used is SU Wasabi (which I am really starting to love) Bayou Blue, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, and WW. The ribbon is May Arts and SU. The brads are paper studio and the "t" sticker is from Micheal's dollar bin. The layout is from sketchthis. They always inspire me. I also had to do paper piercing. I think I have a HUGE addiction to paper piercing. The SU piercing mat has become my favorite tool. If someone does not stop me I am afraid I will have to use it on every card!! WoW Wednesday

Wow!! I can't imagine having six children. Beth from Freckled Fun just delivered a BEAUTIFUL baby girl which makes number six in her family. That is someone I truly admire. I can barely take care of one crazy 2 and a half year old. So in honor of such a blessing I decided to make her a card congratulating her on her new bundle of joy. For the stamp I knew right away I wanted to use my new Impress Giraffe image. Its so simple but adorable. Other stamps used are Green Grass for the sentiment and Paper Salon. The card stock is SU Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Amyethest, Plum, Blush Blossom, and Basic Grey LilyKate DP. The circle scalloped chipboard is from Lil' Davis designs. The ribbon is from Micheals and the rhinestone is from K&Company. The dots around the scalloped chipboard edge are liquid pearl. Other accessories used are Prima flowers, 3d glue dots, and SU's paper piercing kit. I hope she likes it. Stay tuned for some Gina K cards tomorrow.

Wow...so much to talk about I don't know where to begin. I'll start with the awesome surprise I got on Monday when I went to get my daily SCS fix. I noticed some cards looked like mine in the gallery and then I went to the Featured Stamper challenge and WOW..I saw my name. I was so excited I even told DH (who did not understand what I was saying..hehehe) What a honor to have such talented ladies casing my work. It has been so much fun looking at everyone's take on my cards. Thank you EVERYONE who has played along and left such wonderful words about my gallery. :) So you might have also noticed I haven't posted in a few days. That's because I haven't had time to stamp since this past weekend has been jam packed!! First we went to see the circus. DS had a blast and actually sat still for most of the show until we made a huge mistake of giving him cotton candy!! In a matter of seconds he was on a sugar rush and staying still became a HUGE obstacle...hehehehe Then on Sunday we were invited by MIL and FIL to see Grease the musical. It was so much fun. So after so many activities I was pooped and only until last night did I get a chance to stamp. Whew...after so many days without inking it up I found it hard to make a decent card. I got all these wonderful new stamps but was having some major stampers block. After hours I finally came up with this card. I used the SU Artfully Asian and my new Impress rubber stamps. The card stock is SU Wasabi, River Rock, Chocolate Chip, WW, and Basic Grey DP. The cherry blossoms were colored in with SU markers. The centers of all the flowers have Liquid Pearl. The ribbon and brads are SU. To finish it off I did some paper piercing. I hope you guys like it. Stay tuned for some more cards featuring my new stamp goodies. Hugs Ana

Fun Friday

Hi All!! Wow...this week sure did fly fast. I can't believe its already Friday. That certainly is a good thing since I love the weekends :) So for this card I had this great vision for the layout but I am not to sure if I like how it turned out. It took me forever just to get it to were I sorta liked it. I hope I did this awesome MFT "Hot Stuff" justice. I love the cute little coffee and tea images. They were so fun to color. So now for the details of the card. Card stock used SU Chocolate, VV, Turquoise, and Chatterbox DP. The brads are SU and the ribbon is May Arts and Micheal's ribbon spools. I colored in the images with my prisma colors and did some detail with my SU markers. Well I hope you enjoyed this weeks feature of MFT cards. Falling For You Wednesday

Here is the card I promised yesterday from the MFT set "Falling For You." This was so fun to color. The main image is colored in with my prismacolors again. The tree leaves are colored with SU markers. The card stock is SU Olive, Chocolate, Pomegranate, Guava, WW, and Chatterbox DP. I am really addicted to Chatterbox lately. I love their clean DP designs. The ribbon is dotted burgundy from May Arts. The tree was cut out from WW and placed on 3D glue dots. I also added some copper stickles on the main image and some of the leaves on the tree branches. Technique used is paper piercing. Happy Stamping..Ana :)

Witchy Tuesday

Hi All!! Sorry for not posting yesterday but I had to take DS to the doctor since he is still sick. They prescribed him some antibiotics and he already seems to be getting better. Yippee!! So I finally got a chance to stamp last night and I just had to make one more card with MFT "Freight Night". The witch image is so cute and fun to color. Once again I used my prismacolors and accented with my SU markers. Other stamps used are SU Cheesecloth background and Canvas background. The card stock is SU Olive, Black, Turquoise, Pale Plum, WW, and some Chatterbox DP. The ribbon is also SU. The spiders were stamped on WW and then cut out and placed randomly on the cheesecloth panels. The sketch is an older one from CPS. Techniques used are paper piercing. Stay tuned for tomorrow's MFT "Falling For You" card. I promise to make it Yummy :)

What A Suprise Wednesday BRAK

Let me just start by saying I am one LUCKY girl!! Yesterday in the mail I got a package from Kim Burmeister from Clearly Inspired and inside was the most adorable teddy bear card and TONS and I mean TONS of stamped CTMH stamped images. WOWZERS!! I was so excited to look through each and every image and I can could not stop ooohhing and aahhhing. So THANK you so much Kim for the AWESOME BRAK. You are the BEST!! You must go check out her blog since she has some awesome and beautiful creations.

Trick or Treat...

Trick or Treat guess who is on the MFT design team?? ME!!!! I was so excited when Kim van der Sanden the owner and creator of My Favorite Things Stamps emailed me and asked me to be part of her super talented design team. I have been a fan of MFT for a long time. I love her unique and adorable stamp designs. So you can just image how quickly I replied with a YES!! So to introduce my great news I thought I would make a card with one of my favorite new sets from her collection. Its called "Fright Night" and it features the cutest little Halloween images EVA!! For this one I colored in the trick or treaters with my prisma colors and accented with my SU markers. I also stamped some bats on WW card stock cut them out and adhered them on some black wire to make them appear to be flying of the card. Other card stock used is SU Olive, Lavender Lace, Black, and Chatterbox DP. Accessories used are May Arts ribbon, cuttlebug embossing folder, and SU paper piercer mat. What a wonderful surprise this morning when I went to the mail!! I got this BEAUTIFUL card by Michelle aka MichelleD (on scs). She had such wonderful and kind compliments and words inside. I love all the details she put in the card. The faux stitching and the bling on each flower. Its PERFECT!! Thanks so much Michelle you ROCK!!

Fun Friday

Yay!! Its TGIF. Hopefully this weekend will be a sunny one since the past month its rained EVERY weekend. *keeping my fingers crossed* So yesterday was a great mail day. I got my shipment in from Impress Rubber Stamps. I love their site and all the beautiful stamps they carry. Last night I decided to play with my new Savvy Pom Poms stamps. This is one of my favorite stamps I bought. I love the whimsical feel of the flowers. I found the layout inspiration from Di Hickman's blog. She has the most awesome sketches and challenges EVER!! The card stock used is SU Bravo Burgundy, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Old Olive, Whisper White, and Chatterbox DP. Accessories used are May Arts ribbon, paper studio brads, K&Co rhinestones, and the cuttlebug swirl embossing folder. Technique used is paper piercing. Hi All!! Last night I decided to play with my new Stampin' Up stamps. I wanted to make a card with the new "In The Spotlight" hostess set. When I first saw it I fell in love with it. I love dots and flowers. Also while browsing some blogs I noticed that sketchthis:cards is having a contest/giveaway. They provide the sketch layout and then you submit it on their blog. The prize is so YUMMY! Aside from SU I also used Green Grass stamps for the sentiment. So for this card I picked SU Elegant Eggplant, Blush Blossom, Cool Caribbean, Almost Amethyst, WW, and Basic Grey DP card stock. The ribbon is from Micheal's and SU. Birthday Bash Tuesday!!

Here is another card featuring the awesome MFT. I just can't seem to get enough of their stamps. They are so much fun with tons of room to color. I used the presents from the "You Take The Cake" set and stacked them to make the presents higher. I colored them in with my prisma colors and accented with SU markers. The layout is from one of SCS's older sketch challenges. I always go and download their older sketches from the file they provide. They ROCK!! Card stock used is SU Bashful Blue, True Thyme, River Rock, Bayou Blue, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, and WW. The DP is from Chatterbox. Accessories are May Arts ribbon, SU ribbon, 3D glue dots, stickles, Lil Davis chipboard, cuttlebug embossing folder. Techniques used are paper piercing and sponging. Floral Fondant

Hello everyone and Happy Monday!! This weekend has been an exhausting one for me. DS got sick again with a cold and he has been miserable. Thanks to all the blogging ladies from an earlier post I got him to take his medicine. You guys gave me some great tips on how to keep his medicine down. It was still tough but it worked. So I did a little stamping over the weekend. I wanted to play with my MFT "You Take The Cake" set. I love MFT!! Their sets are so creative and versatile plus they have the cutest sayings that go with so many other stamps. For this card I stacked the flower cake to make a two tier wedding cake. I put some SU ribbon around the tiers and added some tiny prima flowers. Other stamps used is SU Canvas background. The sentiment is on a Lil'Davis chipboard ribbon slider. The card stock is SU Guava, Pomegranate, Saffron, and WW. The DP is Chatterbox. Accessories used are May Arts ribbon, SU slit punch and 3D glue dots. Techniques are paper piercing and faux stitching.

Transformers Thursday

How many wives have been dragged this week to see the new Transformers movie with the DH? *raising my hand* I went yesterday to see it and let me tell you I was kicking and screaming the whole way there. But after the movie I had to do something I hate...tell the DH he was right. It was a great and fun movie. I really enjoyed myself. So ladies don't be scared when the DH says he wants to see Transformers. Its not that bad. So in light of the movie I decided to pay tribute to Optimus Prime and Bumblebee by making a robot card. The set used is SU Toy Box. I colored the image in with my prisma colors. Other stamps are Green Grass and Micheal's dollar acrylic stamps. The card stock is Basic Grey and SU Pumpkin, Bayou Blue, Sky Blue, Olive, and WW. Accessories are Cosmo Cricket chipboard and May Arts ribbon. The brads are SU. Techniques are paper piercing and cuttlebug embossing folders.

ATC Tuesday

I just finished my ATC's for a swap I am in. I really wanted to use this Chatterbox paper I had lying around and found that the strawberry from Papertrey Inks Green Thumb went perfectly with it. I got the inspiration for the sentiment inside the circle from Beate's weekly sketch challenge. She has the greatest ideas. Other card stock used is SU Real Red, Olive, WW, and Caramel. The ric rac is May Arts and the ribbon is SU. I used my cuttlebug embossing folder on the caramel paper. I distressed it with sponging and added some faux stitching. Postal decorative scissors were used around the olive paper edges. Other accessories used are prima flowers and red stickles. I hope the other girls like it. Hugs, Ana

Mail Out Monday

Hi All!! I hope you guys had a great weekend. I got a little stamping done but mostly I cleaned up my craft room. It was a MESS!! Geesh..it's crazy how fast papers and little scraps pile up. So after the cleaning I went to pick a set to make my card. I still wanted to challenge myself to use those stamp sets that I rarely ink up. This set is one of those. Its SU Sparkling Summer. I think I have made one card with it. *frown* I figured it would be perfect since we are in the middle of summer. For the image I colored it in with my prisma colors. I added some rhinestones on the sand to make it *sparkle* and did some doodling around the edges. Other stamps used is Micheals dollar sentiment. The card stock is SU Sky Blue, Olive, Caramel, Chocolate, and WW. The DP is from Hobby Lobby. The Sky Blue is embossed with my cuttlebug and sponged for depth. The ribbon is SU Pumpkin and the brads are SU pewter.
